That is so like my hubby! As soon as he's up, he starts talking and talking and won't quit until I tell him to please shut up till I wake up!! He does this EVERY morning and it drives me insane!! I'm so NOT a morning person and have to have at least a half hour to have my first cup of coffee and time to wake up a bit to get my mind in order to absorb the information he's passing on to me. Talking about an anxiety attack on the rise! lol AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Too much information too soon after I wake up!! When I tell him to shut up till I wake up, he laughs hard at me and always has a comment back to me! "What? lol Am I bothering you? Am I talking too much? lol" Me - "Yes yes yes you are now leave me alone will ya till I get my thoughts in working order!" Gee mee moses!! lol Does your husband do this to you? Gosh I hope not!

I love the man to pieces but he drives me crazy sometimes!! lol He does it EVERY freaken morning and I have to tell him EVERY freaken morning that I'm not awake yet! I'm still cleaning the sand out of my eyes all the while he's yapping away. Our God kids don't talk a lot either in the morning which is good because I'm just not there to listen yet. I'd die if they were like hubby!! lol

I can relate Gabs, my daughter yaps my ear off especially first thing in the morning! During the day and at night it's not so bad, but first thing in the morning is a bit much to deal with!

Hello and welcome to mylot!! Don't get me wrong hon, I don't mind talking but not first thing in the morning. I have to have a few minutes to get the clouds out of my head so I can think clearly so that doesn't happen until after my first cup of coffee. My husband wakes up with a clear head and starts talking all the while, I'm trying to wake up.

Find a roll of duct tape! lol Just kidding Purple!! Our God kids are coming up this summer to spend the summer with us and they're not morning people either, thank God. They get up and all they want is to cuddle till they wake up to eat some cereal. I can't wait to see them for it's been 2 years! They'll be here probably the first or second week of June......

Oh gosh, I couldn't stand that! Maybe it's time for you to move out? lol It's the only way you're going to find any peace so I'd jump on the idea if I could! But I know that not everyone can afford to. Have you thought about getting a coffee maker and putting it in your room so you could have a cup BEFORE going into the kitchen? That might help you a bit to wake up and having to face your mom.

Pat him on the head and say 'Down boy, down'! LOL I'm like you......don't even talk to me until I've had a cup of coffee, brushed my teeth, gotten dressed and jogged around the block! It takes all that to get my brain working and capable of coherent thought these days!

You have to do ALL THAT first? Wow girl!! You're a hard ball in the morning!! LMBO! Well, at least you'd give me plenty of time to wake up. I wish my hubby would do the same but ha ha ha!! Wishful thinking!! But all I have to do is give him that look or tell him point blank to shut up and he does. He'll laugh first but he shuts up! lol

My sister calls me every stinkin' morning at 6 am to tell me the news she heard on the radio.... her plans for the day... what she ate yesterday for lunch.... why she is having her cat fixed..... the sound her dryer is making.... the reason why fat kids are fat.... how long it's been since she heard from her friend... the last time she ate Chinese food.... the field trip her son is taking at the end of the year.. why she doesn't talk to her friend from FL anymore... how she made a certain stationary page..why her email isn't working.. how a squirrel was eating from the cat's dish on her front deck... the reason mom wasn't talkative yesterday.. why our cousin isn't dating the guy she was dating last year.. why the dollar isn't worth a dollar anymore.. how gas prices are going to top out at an all time high.. the reason for the economy being like it is.. the dog that won't stop barking.. the new neighbors that moved in just to make noise.. how she is going to paint her living room... why the stain in her table cloth is there.. what she is getting my daughter for Christmas next year... and this is right after I say.. "hello"!! I don't actually talk back.. she doesn't require input... she is too busy rattling on and on to notice me snoring... I finally wake up while she is telling me that her shirt shrank in the dryer and how she is so mad that she could spit.. speaking of spit.. she once learned how to spit by a a friend who oddly enough taught her to whistle! yadda yadda yadda...... anyone want a sister? I will mail her to ya! I hate morning people! sheeeeeesh!

Unless mine is sleeping, he's worse than yours. He never stops and he's constantly repeating himself. I can't get him to shut his mouth, no matter how much I tell him to stop. He talks about movies, tv, the pets, everything, he wont let up. Even when I'm trying to get some work done, he's still going at it. He gets into trouble when he's working, he talks too much there. Everyone has told him that he'll lose jobs because of that. I wish he wasn't like that, I'd be much happier if he'd keep his mouth shut more often.

OMG.... I'd have to find some duct tape to put over his mouth!! I don't think he and I would last long for he'd drive me insane!! My hubby knows when to shut up because then I'm on the verge of blowing up and he knows it and laughs at me but he shuts up. He knows what's good for him if he doesn't. lol Mine does a lot of repeating too and changes his mind more than a girl does! I'm serious! LOL He really does!! I told him he's been around too many girls in his lifetime because of how many times he changes his mind!! LOL

I DON'T sleep with him! lol Not because of his talking but because the mattress we have kills my back. I sleep just about anywhere in our house, on the couch, the spare bedroom bed which is our old bed, upstairs on the couch or futon or even on the floor. lol Hubby understands and is ok with it. Eventually we'll get a new mattress and get rid of this one but it couldn't happen soon enough! lol Anyway, he's retired now and on disability thanks to what the Army has done to him so he's up with me at night and most times he'll get up before me so he's already awake and ready to go but I'm not because I'm just getting up and working on the cob webs in my brain. lol

Actually Hubby and I are just the opposite. My brain starts running before I'm even awake and Hubby needs his coffee first before he's human. We've bumped heads a few times when I've started chattering when he first gets up so now I just wait till he gets that "ready for the world" look. Awww twoey, you're very thoughtful! I wish my hubby was on this issue but I think he's forgetful until he gets that look from me or I'll tell him point blank to shut up while you're ahead!! lol I wish my brain would wake up like that but it doesn't. I'm so cloudy minded and clumsy in the mornings.

You and I are the same exact way...I'm a real grump when I first wake up...I like QUIET...like I don't even want to know the world exists until I've had my coffee. If the phone rings while I'm trying to get myself into consciousness, I let the answering machine pick up the message...I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO ANYONE...LOL Now that I live alone I have blissful peace, well, save for my two kitties bothering their mom and wanting their breakfast.

It's just hubby and I here till the summer time hits then our God kids come up but none of them are morning people either. lol They want to cuddle up close with us while waking up which doesn't bother me one bit, just don't say a word other than good morning and we'll all live. LMBO! You mentioned your kitties, I have a funny story to tell ya! My parents had a siamese cat that they named Precious. She lived to be 18 years old and gosh I miss her so much for she was such a joy to have around. Anyway, dad always got up before mom unless she had to work that day. Dad had complained that he had to feed Precious first before he got his first cup of coffee because she wouldn't leave him alone until he did!! We all laughed our butts off at him because when she ordered you around, she meant business!! LMBO!! She was so ornery as hell but we all loved the day lights out of her!!

I consider myself a morning person albeit a quiet one! Although I enjoy rising early and starting my day, I revel in the peace and quiet of the rest of the family being still asleep. My husband has been 'trained' to keep quiet before breakfast so we're lucky if we even greet each other first thing! Everyone knows not too talk too much, even the pets! My seven year old...I'm working on her!

I'm a night owl, I love the quietness of the night AFTER hubby goes to bed. But still, when I first get up, doesn't matter what time it is, I want quiet until I finish my first cup of coffee but I never get my wishes. Hubby continues to talk and talk all the while I'm getting hot under the collar till I finally have had enough and tell him point blank, shut up while you're ahead! lol Little_Stormy - I can't help but laugh at your comment!! I applaud your mom for reining in the reins when she did!! I'd so love to know HOW she did it!! LMBO!!

LOL! you remind me of my parents.. my mother "trained" my dad not to speak during breakfast.. I used to be amazed how well they worked together without saying a word!she walks through.. he holds out his plate... she throws food in it and walks away.. at just the right time she walks through with coffee and pours it. he drinks it while she takes away his plate.. he drinks the last drink of coffee as mom hands him his lunch and guides him to the door and she turns around and goes back to bed. not one word is said! lol!

LOL I know what you mean Thoroughrob! I dated a few guys like that and one sticks out in my mind. Trust me, this one got ONLY a few dates out of me! We both lived in Virginia and he wanted me to meet his mom and siblings in North Carolina which was fine with me so I decided to go. It would be fun, yeah right! The trip was about a 5 hour drive. I tried to talk to the guy and do you know what he told me?! He told me to please not talk because he can't talk and drive at the same time! I was like WHAT? by this time we were too far from home to go back but I thought he was pulling my leg so I continued to try talk to him and he told me to go to sleep because he can't drive and talk at the same time. (what not who but what am I dating here?) Needless to say, it was the longest weekend of my life! I couldn't wait to go home and when we finally did, I got out of his car with out a word said and slammed the door shut and walked in the house and never went out with him again! Whew! He was a capital A-hole!! lol Now I've dated a guy for a few years that wasn't a talker and it was the same as you've described, like pulling teeth to get an answer. I hate those types because I not only want but I NEED to know what the other is feeling on any subject because if we're to get to know each other, we have to talk! lol

Oh you poor thing! I so feel for you! I'm not a morning person either. My cats even know not to look at me for at LEAST 30 minutes after I get up. My hubby used to do the talking thing first thing in the morning. But believe me I trained him on that one real quick! Let's see....he's been growled at, yelled at, chewed out, cussed out, hit with a pillow, shoved, kicked, slapped, punched and even smacked with a stuffed bunny rabbit. Now when he gets up he doesn't even try to wake me up to give me a kiss goodbye before he goes to work...which is perfectly fine with me that time of day. LOL! Want me to come over and train your hubby too? Hehehe!

My husband is pretty quiet in the morning, it is my kids that are the talkers. My husband is the one who normally gets up first and then wakes me up. He waits until he absolutely has to, to wake the kids up because he likes to enjoy the quiet as long as possible the same as I do. You could get yourself some ear-plugs and as soon as he starts talking to you, put them in your ears. I'd do it in a way that he knows you are playing though, so you don't upset him too much.
