How do you get help for heating bills?

If you call the company you get your electric thorugh (if your heat is electric) they can give you a list of organizations in your area. Churches will usually help pay for heating bills, but you have to prove that you really cannot afford it. If you think you can qualify, you may want to also look into food stamps and housing assistance until you can pay off some of your bills and support yourself with no help.
