i am SO SICK of this burger king commercial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found it amusing the first couple of times... but it's played ALL THE TIME. Yea, now I'm tired of it to.

You may hate it, but that's its power. Now anytime you hear or think about the song I like Big Butts you will think about Burger King, and the very fact that you are posting it here and linking to it spreads it virally to even more people. This makes it even more effective. I too hate the commercial, but you gotta admire success.

I posted in a thread about this commerical just yesterday saying I'd never seen it...well didnt I just see it about 5 mins ago...and its STUPID!!!! I think the commercials that REALLY drive me nutty are the local ones..for example the Max Pies Furniture commercial (the Batavia store) are ALL so dumb...then there are the "hit in a caaarrrr, call William Mataarrrr" *as said very nasaly*...those drive me crazy!!!

I have never seen the burger king commercial...I don't watch alot of tv..but I did hear that their sales were down and McDonalds were up...anyway the one I hate is the one for catheters.....they play it all the time....I think it's gross!

YES ! I agree !! Enough is enough with the square butts. There has been a lot hoopla about it with parents as well. Relating kids meals and spongebob squarepants with that song. I just know I'm sick of seeing it. I have noticed though that they show it later at night now.

I hate that commerical too!! I hate all the burger king commericals with the king in it. The big puppet head on a reall mans body just freaks me out LOL!!

I just watched a news clip about this the other day and it says alot of parents are upset that they are using women shaking their butts at kids to sell burgers. Personally while I like the beat of the song, it's not something I want to hear all the time and definately not butchered while watching a creepy king dance around and girls shaking their booties at me. Ha I find it kind of funny I always laugh when I see that commercial because it makes me think of weird al because I can picture him singing a song like this since this is the type of songs that he does. But I think it has to do with sponge bob square pants thats my guess.

I know this commercial is stupid, but so is SpongeBob SquarePants. I think the commercial is funny. It does exactly what Burger King want it to - it grabs your attention and makes you remember Burger King. As a matter of fact, right after seeing this commercial my kids were absolutely begging me to go to Burger King so they could get the SpongeBob Meal. But you are right, they butchered Sir-Mix-A-Lot's song. But he must be ok with this as he is the one singing it and he is even in the commercial. Oh well, at least he is still making money! Ha ha ha!! That commercial drives me nuts too. But my husband made a good observation as I was complaining that they even used that song for a commercial geared toward children. My hubby, in his best sarcastic tone, said "well, sir mix a lot just figured out how to live off his only song for a few more years." It was so funny...I had to laugh at his wit.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to watch it now, it sounds funny, but yeah we get sick of anything that plays too much on tv.

I totally agree with you. First of all I think it's a stupid commercial and whoever thought it up should not be doing this as their line of work. Square butts give me a break. Get rid of it already.

I laughed at it...the first time. I think part of the problem with it is that the song is just SO catchy. It gets stuck in your head, and all you can think of all day is a picture of these women shaking their square butts. This is by far the worst one on TV right now.

i'm also a member of gather.com and there is a discussion over there about the same stupid annoying commercial. I hate that commercial. It also objectifys women, and the woman who started the discussion has two small children, a boy and a girl. She doesn't want her kids exposed to that kind of smut, yet it's on TV during freaking prime time!

i agree with you i hate that advert sooo badly... not only is the BK guy creepy now he is a creepy perv =P just stupid i swear. I can't help but roll my eyes everytime i see the stupid thing. Another advert i hated (been a long time since i seen it) was the Eagle Insurance advert if you saw it... where an eagle lays over sized eggs with the rates the company offers =P ugh sure glad they aren't going on the air lol

Ive seen that commercial at least 10 times today within 3 different shows. IT does get annoying. Another BK commercial that got annoying was the one for the BK shots, where the girls would come up and be like OMG those are so cute. The burgers are good but the commercial is annyoing as hell!
