When I worked I always took leftovers for lunch the next day. Now I either eat it for lunch or dinner again. It saves me from cooking that day. Plus I couldn't see throwing the leftovers away especially when there are so many people starving in the world each and everyday.

I don't usually mind cooking but some nights I beg my fiancee to go out to eat because I'm just too tired to cook! lol I like the evenings I cook because then I have delicious left overs for the next days lunch.

I raised three children and did not enjoy cooking or cleanup. But I have found that now that they are all grown and moved away from home that I enjoy cooking for them and do not mind the clean-up. I will go to visit and I cook, I think I do not mind the clean-up because they help now where it was a fight to get them to help growing up. I have also found that I am a better cook now that I do not have young children running around wanting my attention all of the time. Do I cook for myself at home, well yes two or three times a month and I always make it something that I can freeze protions of or something that I really enjoy so that I can eat left overs for several days. Other than that I eat TV dinners, but only the ones that are low in calories and sodium. I recycle the plastic trays that the dinners come in along with everything else that I can recycle in my area. I never had the time to do that as a single Mom.

I always keep the leftovers for the next day's lunch. Instead of having to prepare something else and wasting food, I just use the leftovers and it saves me a lot of effort and money. I am not crazy about cooking either and yes, I have to clean up as well, just like you. By keeping the leftovers, it's one less meal to worry about, lol!

I don't do to much cooking, I live alone so I do have leftovers. I always eat off of them for about a day or two and then I throw them out if any is left after that. And start a new batch.
