I have six granchildren. My daughters two are always coming to see me or I am looking after them if my daughter is sick or during holidays while she works. The other four I see at christmas and easter.I do try to see them more often and offer to look after them but my daughter in law is not interested in leaving them with me.She leaves them with her mother.Like I say I offer to have them invite them over but no go most of the time. When I do see them I say nanna loves you remember that, and whenever I do see them they give me a big cuddly without asking. They do know who I am.We have not fallen out it is just the way things are.My daughter says it is a shame but it means she can have more turns. Her children know where everything is in my house biscuit, cakes, sweets, but they have to eat their sensible dinner first and go to the park for a play. Also to help wear them out.Twenty three grandchildren that is amazing you must have a big family. How wonderful your mother was incredible.I have told mine no more thanks nanny is getting tired, but secretly I would love another baby to love.My youngest is fifteen so hopefully it will be years before I get another cuddle.

I have four grandchildren but one four year old has lived in the USA for the past three years and so I only got to see him for a few weeks each year when he returned to the Island. My eldest is 8 and I see her several times a week and her brother and her brother and sister (the twins) and their father live with me at the present. Tis is temporary but I am having so much fun with them around even though at times they can certainlly be more than a handful.lol

I have to first say that I am one of Ten children.. to continue, my mother had 37 grandchildren and I believe it was 8 great grandchildren when she passed this last April.. I only have one Grand child right now.. They don't live near me so the time I do have with her is always special to me..

I only have one granddaughter and yes I spend more time with her then I did with my two girls. I worked when my girls were growing up and at this time I'm not working so I'm helping my daughter and son-in-law by taking care of my granddaughter while they are at work. I got to tell you I love it. As much as I want a job that pays right now this is where I'm needed so this is my life right now. Though I keep trying to find a job working from home.

I have had 6 grandchildren but I lost one to cancer years ago. I see all of them often as we live at 10 min driving. I am the official babysitter of my two youngest gradsons. The rest are old and I see them less often: they have their time full with being teenagers.
I spend less time than what I did with my children. I was a stay at home mom for a long time. Even now, fortish as they are, my girls come to tell me their problems and to seek advise. Other times, of course, they treat me a little as if I was mentally handicapped(that´s when they have no big problems in their lives.

My husband and I have 9 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren between us. We have a total of 6 children...we're a combined family...so there should be more to come, especially since my youngest daughter is only 18 and hasn't even started thinking about having kids yet.
As far as spending more time with them, I would have to say the answer to that question is no. We see three of our grandchildren every evening because they live nextdoor but the others we don't get to see as often. I was a stay at home mom for 15 years so I spent a lot of time with my kids when they were growing up.
