don't choose both. it is very rare that cats and dogs don't fight when you brought together under the same roof. have mercy on cats.

If introduced properly, cats and dogs can get along fine. We have a cat, and a boxer, and the two get along great. My aunt's always had both and they were fine. And my grandmother. In fact a majority of my family has both and they get along just great.
Just depends on the breed, the personality, and if you take the time to properly introduce them. Getting a high prey driven dog would make things worse but it can be done.

Hi Cainam.
For me, I like dogs more rather than a cat. I remember once I was bitten by a cat when I step into its tail. And now I have a phobia in a cat.
About dogs, at first I also hate dogs. Because when I was a kid, I remember I was been playing when suddenly a puppy was suddenly been tailing me wherever I go. So my tendency is to run, but the puppy is still at my back. Then when my mom saw me, I was in tears.
But now in our house, we have 3 dogs. Eventhough we have dogs, I don't let myself get so attached to it, because until now I feel kind of scared of them. But our dogs are nice. As I have said, we have three dogs. Two of them are Males and one of them are female. The Female's name is Thalia, a Golden Retriever Breed. The two males name's are Douglas and Serge. Serge is also a Golden Retriever Breed, while Douglas is an American Bulldog Breed. They are very nice and they play along well with each other. Even kids at our compound likes them. But others are afraid and scared of them because of their large sizes. But they are all very nice to children.
