Every single trip to Vegas, I've only had one carry-on. I travel really light. Sometimes I stay longer and go shopping for stuff for my nephews. I manage to jam the goods into my bag all the time.

I am an independent traveler and I used to be a backpacker. I still carry my backpack and my budget is low to medium. I have important things in my money belt like my passport, airline tickets, travel insurance details, money and debit card. In the bottom part of my backpack I put my clothes. In the top part of my luggage I have my shampoo and conditioner combined, toothbrush and paste, small mirror and contact lenses. I have a few light weight snacks like rice cakes, tiny pots of jam and fruit bars. I put my travel guide book and my camera with all its memory cards in my handbag. I like to take a pot of travel wash, my elastic travel wash line and my camping towel. That way I enjoy my traveling more because my luggage is so light.

I am a independant traveller and I never bring a lot of luggage, I hardly ever bring more than one bag, because things are so much easier if I don't have to carry around a lot of luggage. I don't always book hotels beforehand, and sometimes I have to walk from place to place before I find a place to sleep, and that is one of the reasons why I only bring one bag. Sometimes the only luggage that I bring is handluggage, and it is really nice not having to wait for my luggage when I arrive. That way I also know that my luggage doesn't get lost somewhere.

I have done quite a bit of travelling and the majority of it was with only one small bag. It is a lot less hassle and a lot less to worry about when you travel this way. I personally enjoy not having to go to baggage claim when I travel. You also dont have so much stuff to worry about losing or getting damaged, and it makes you think about what you really need to bring with you when you limit yourself to only one bag.
