I don't listen to songs of other languages. I might have to try doing that sometime. I just wonder if it would be hard for me to enjoy the music, if I can't understand the lyrics.

Hello srikandi19,
I like to listen to all kind of songs in any kind of languages that attract me. I listen to my own mother tongue language, English, Korean, Japanese, Russian songs and any languages as long as I feel nice when I listen to the song. I don't really bother about the meaning or the language, as long as the song soothe my ears, that is good enough. To know the meaning of the lyric is a good thing too. At least, you know what the singer is singing about!

I don't usually listen to songs of languages that I don't understand. Most of time I only listen to Mandarin and English songs. I used to listen Japanese and Korean songs back in high school. But I found it was difficult for those songs to be my favorite if I can't understand the lyrics. Reading the translations is really troublesome.

I seldom listen to Tagalog songs as I find it boring and nonsense most of the time. I listening and singing English songs. I can also understand a little bit of other languages like Japanese, Spanish, French and German. I also like listening to songs from these foreign languages even I only understand some of part of it. I speak both English and Korean and am currently learning Spanish at school. I like listening to American rock, rap, and pop songs while I like to listen to Korean pop (K-pop) ballad, and R&B songs. I find songs a great and fun way to learn Spanish as well because the good ones have a really catchy tune to it that makes it addicting. So yes, I like listening songs of different languages.

Well there are Latin Chants that my brother listens to because it's very relaxing and puts you in a meditative mood.
There was also a time when Taiwanese, and Korean songs invaded our music world because of the entry of Asian Soap operas into our country. Some melodies actually sound great but we just don't understand the words. Actually, listening to foreign languages does sound funny sometimes. Like someone talking nonsense only because we really don't understand. It's probably that way too for a foreigner to listen to our own language.
