Having problem with PLDT DSL lately

A month ago, we lost our PLDT DSL connection for an hour. I thought that maybe a splitter on our extra phone was loose - it wasn't. Then, I thought that probably the modem overheated - it didn't. Then, I noticed that all three lights on the modem were steady (the middle, red Ethernet light should have been blinking in even and quick intervals). After an hour, it went back to normal. That was my first issue with our DSL connection from PLDT. I was so upset then (because I work from home and have to be online) that I came close to using my mobile as a modem which would have been very impractical.
It was all going smoothly until last night. At around 11pm, the red light was not blinking at normal, quick intervals. I thought, "Oh no!" And after 30 minutes, it went back to normal.
Today, it happened again at 5:30pm - no connection and the red light was irregularly blinking. I just lost it. I was so upset that I had to go and see if my blood pressure was OK - seriously. It went back to normal (the connection - not my BP!) after 30 minutes - ergo, I was able to start this discussion.
To those who use PLDT DSL, have you been noticing this problem lately - at all? I'd like to think that we're not the only one affected by this.
Thanks in advance!

I am also a user of pldt dsl for 9 months. We experienced problem even from the start. when we applied the agent told us that they have this promo of 2 months free only to find out after 2 months of not paying our bills because we thought that our first 2 months are free their office informed us that the promo free is only for NDD we showed them our receipt stated clearly 2 months free not 2 months free ndd they did not acknowledge it. later when we tried to call to manila for a long distance ( I'm from Cebu)we using NDD we found out that our NDD is not yet activated and need to submit additional requirements.
On our internet connection we also have problems on it. we always experience a cut on our connection, we reported it to the office and even change our modem but still the problem was not been solved our sollution is that everytime the internet line cuts we unplug our line. we experienced this almost more than 10 times a day.
now we decided to disconnect our pldt connection since it caused us too much agony not leisure supposedly. we are not going to acknowledge their 2 year lock-in period even if it caused me a bad record to their company, I would still be glad to disconnect it rather than continuing this agony in their service.

Well i've been using PLDT myDSL for plan 990 for months now and usually, as what i've heard from other clients, it slowed down after months of use. Before i was downloading at 52Kbps on a 384kbps plan but now i'm downloading on 35Kbps maximum. I have experienced a disconnected connection but it only happened on the first few months and it's only overnight. Could it be that you have a defective modem? I heard some reviews that sometimes it's the modem so they have to replace it. Keep your pressure on the safe level ok?

I think that happens too with Globelines. About a couple of months ago my Modem started working rather slowly and eventually went disconnected. I did call their call center and they assisted to no avail they assigned a technician to visit my place but they were not able to so i have to wait for weekend to come and they replaced my modem with a new one. After a new one was replaced the service continued intermittent and it took about another week before it normalized again.

i'm using a pldt dsl, too. when i'm at home, my computer will be running for almost 24 hours so that i wouldn't have any problem checking on my emails at anytime during the day or night, whenever i would feel like working. fortunately for me, i haven't experienced any erratic connection whatsoever except maybe during those times that we had power interruptions before, it took some time for the dsl to work once the electricity was back in. otherwise, i don't have any problems with it at all.

You're not the only one suffering from poor connection of PLDT DSL. I have same problem as you are. I taught that having a DSL would be a great relief since I'm using dial up before but when this thing happened to me it really annoys me considering that we pay for it monthly. We encounter this problem some time ago, it's not that bad but these days it became almost everyday that our internet connection fails. The modem works fine but we can't get connected. It says limited or no connectivity. I hope PLDT solved this problem or many would change to much better internet provider.

We also have PLDT DSL and it's a very bothersome problem. It's very annoying that they don't even have enough customer service representatives to answer the calls and to log in this problem - it's important that you report such problems in order to avail a rebate. I know it's a hassle but the more we report it, the more they give back our money and the more reason they have to fix our problems :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
