how important are flowers to you? how important it is for you to receive flowers from your special someone.... i love flowers and for me receiving flowers makes me feel special, and its important to me. i seldom receive flowers from my husband... i am not the one to tell him, will you buy me flowers so i can receive some, although i have spoken a few times, when i die, the flowers you're gonna put on my coffin, on my grave will be of no use, so better not do it. i wont be able to smell it, or see how beautiful it was, so better give one to the living than to the dead. to other woman out there, some things are more important to them, but to me, receiving flowers is important, it is a part of being a woman, it makes me feel special. it doesn't have to be expensive bouquets, picked flowers from the garden will be enough to make my day. and to all guys whoa re going to read this, what is your take on giving flowers to your special someone?

Flowers are important and receiving them from your husband or boyfriend makes you feel special and that he truly does like you. I barely ever receive flowers and i would like to receive them more, but now i know they aren't going to be showing up at all because we can't go out buying a lot right now because we need to be saving money to fix a car we have and that is really more important anyways. Receiving flowers makes me feel special inside and that i know my rest of the day is going to go great, but it's ok if i don't receive them i still love him and that;s ok.

i honestly don't like flowers unless somebody gives me the plant. say,if it's roses,i'd prefer a rose bush, then i can put it in my yard, and have a living reminder. cut flowers,no.having 12 lil corpses at the end of the week to me,doesn't sound like love.

i love you for that, in fact your so different opinion stand out among the rest... lol. 12 lil corpses eh? lol... that really made me laugh, i never thought of it like that. we all have our different views in life... after a week of appreciation when that flowers turned to corpses, it goes to show they have done their part in the cycle of life, they were appreciated, they have made somebody happy, and feel loved. im such a romantic "hope-fool"...

I like flowers too, but a single flower means just as much. I don't need the $50 roses, one daisy is just as good. The big bouquets I think are a waste of money.

for me, any kind of flower will do, it may be single, bouquet or hand picked, it doesn't necessarily have to be expensive too...

Flowers play a significant role in one's life. That is why flowers are so expensive. Well, giving flowers to the special someone is like telling them you really care, because flowers are really hard to take care. Presenting someone a flower for me means, I care so much. Hehehe. Well, that is just for me.

I love flowers too and especially when my boyfriend gives me when I least expect it. He always brings a smile to my face. I just like that with the flowers.

Honestly I don't really care for flowers all that much. Sure they are pretty and they smell nice, but they are so short-lived. One guy I dated gave me flowers all the time, and I used to dry them out and turn them into potpurri. Other than that, I found no real use for them. The first thing I think when a guy brings me flowers is, "What did you do?" lol. Negative I guess.

lol ... well, each one of us have different likes and dislikes... but if someone would give me flowers now, i would definitely try that one thing you mentioned here, 'dry them out and turn them into potpurri'... that is really a wonderful idea which i will do, that is if i'll receive flowers...

I have to agree that receiving flowers is a woman thing and we enjoy them immensely. I do not receive flowers often enough if at all. I love to pick wild flowers and place them in a small vase on the table. They ook nice. Receiving flowers from a special someone is priceless and it does feel wonderful. Flowers have a magical way of picking up our spirit and making our day! Nice to look at and often provide an awesome scent too.

I like flowers, but I like giving flowers more. I know, I know...I'm a girl, but gender roles are more fun when they get scooted around a little. I love giving my s.o.'s flowers. I like giving random people flowers. I like giving friends and family flowers. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm just thoroughly tickled when I get to do it. With friends, family, and strangers, it makes me feel like a kid again...but with someone I love, it just gives me a tiny, fractional feeling of fulfillment to be able to give such a small, innocent gesture out of affection. Getting them, though, is a little special. Not important, just a little special, as not many people give me flowers. It's something to smile at, the next day, if you have a vase. And that's a good bright point, for me. Being given something to enjoy for a few days after I was given them. Not forever, because beauty doesn't last forever, but for as long as they do last. That's special, to me.

Hi there Jayrene! I am not really into flowers but getting some makes me feel beautiful and appreciated. I love receiving gifts and they don't have to be really expensive at all. As long as the man exerted effort on it and the gift is well-thought of, it will be very much appreciated.

well, consider yourself lucky... you wont be making a fuss about not receiving flowers.. lol. i have a sweet tooth, but to choose between flowers and chocolates as a gift, i would definitely choose the flowers. if i am told that it is a waste of money because it cant be eaten like chocolates, then i would reply "so im gonna make flower candies out of it".. lol kidding aside, yes it's the thought that counts, i agree. i am just so into it, i just love them.

wow... flowers every night? that would be really something if i get to receive flowers every night... but then again, since flowers cost a lot here that would really not happen. once in a while is enough for me. let's hope your future wife will be someone who really appreciates flowers, as you know not all women prefer flowers... lol *wishing someone will send me flowers too...

Not important at all, it's just a way to show that you want to give something nice to some one but you are too stupid to pick something really useful so you go with something that always works "flowers!". I remember when I dated, I bought flowers at the valentine day not because I care about the flowers or I think anyone cares about them but just to show that I wanted to do something special and I'm not so good at picking gifts xD

Flowers for me is very symbolical and significant.I just really love flowers especially red and white roses.Honestly, this is one of weaknesses, flowers.I don't know but ever since I just really love flowers.Since flowers are special for me, I use this in expressing my care to my loved ones especially to my mother and those closed to my heart.

Yes, i do like to receive flowers from someone special. I would feel important and loved. Like you ,i seldom got it from my husband. Maybe it's not his style and i learned to accept it long time ago. I'm happy that my children are the ones doing it. I do cherished it.

I just simply love to receive flowers. And especially flowers that are fresh picked. They are just so much better. I enjoy looking at them in the yard, but if I get a surprise and walk in the house and it smells like flowers, it puts a big smile on my face. However, it isn't that important. So if I don't receive them, it really isn't that big of a deal. As a matter of fact, I even told him once not to waste money buying me flowers.

yes i agree... its hard to earn money these days, and to spend it on bouquets that cost a whole lot doesnt sound right. but if ever, a freshly picked wild flower... can really bring a smile to my face... my 2nd child always do that whenever he sees flowers, he picks them up and give it to me... those small ones only... lol

Every one would think himself special if he/she receives flower from other. i am just 22 year old and fear in giving flower to any girl. i think that she may not like it. though i have never given it to anyone but trying since long time to give her. if i could find that she would love to receive flower then i will give her one.

shamb, i dont see anything wrong if you ask her if she likes flowers of not.. that way you will be sure of how she feels about you giving her flowers. also you can look for ways to know other than asking, give her something picked from garden or anywhere, a small flower, a tiny one, a paper flower... see how she reacts to it. most women i know likes receiving flowers and so am i. better try than never and be constantly wondering if she likes it or not.

Dear jayrene, I love to receive flowers too...but it is costly and not worth the money. But I the suggestion you did :~ it doesn't have to be expensive bouquets, picked flowers from the garden will be enough to make my day. To be very frank, I think those flowers picked from the garden is much more appreciated, the thoughts of pick it one by one is so romantic indeed![/em]wink[/em] I hope my husband will read this post too, he really need a lesson on how to be 'thoughtful'

I like flowers. I think that I like bouquets from the garden or pretty wildflowers the best. If my husband buys me flowers, though, I prefer one rose to a dozen. I can enjoy the beauty and scent of one rose just as much as a dozen of them, so I prefer just a single rose.

me too... if one cannot afford a bouquet a single flower is just enough to make me smile. i like wild flowers too, there is a place here where wild flowers grow every summer, and i tend to pick them whenever we pass by :)

You will read another one by me and i didnt finish it...:P Flowers bring out a smile in a woman, and make her day even better. When you look at flower they can be the most bright and a most delicate smell to it that attracts you anytime. Although people say stop and smell the roses, well fortunately I cant do that I get headached or sneeze. I love them but can stand to smell them for too long. I love Fake flowers they look beautiful and are fragrance free for me, which is safe for me to have. I think if I shall ever pass away I want fake flowers at my grave to make it stand out and bright. I want people to know that I am a nice and bright person and always will be and friendly too. Even if I gave them a hard time in life too. That the greatest thing I have for people of any kind is love. Never tell a man to buy you flowers... the one who bring some to you can be a very thoughtful and sweet men but then again you never know how he is until you stick long enough with him,, like some men can be a real flower and withered away.. and some can be fake the most bright one you ever find and you wonder what happened to them.. someday I hope to find another bright fake flower that will take my breath away. Also hope to watch the flowers fall out of tree with a men who will be with me for the rest of my life and cherish the fake one in my hand. As you see how flowers impact me.
