What is the color of your toothpaste?

Toothpaste comes in many different flavors and with those flavors, many different colors. Also, different companies and brand will have different flavors and colors and different colors for each flavor. So what color and flavor is your toothpaste? Is it the regular white minty flavor? Or does it go to extremes and is suppose to whiten your teeth? Feel free to give other descriptions of your toothpaste!

color does not matter nor does it matter if its mint, i don't keep any preference for a toothpaste, i do enjoy brushing, in India we do see people don't use toothpaste instead they use powder and the color could be black or white may be flavored or non flavored, even branches of neem (bitter) tree are used for brushing teeth. In the end it does matter how strong you teeth will be to enjoy biting into food

That is very interesting to know as I never knew that. Is this a culture/traditional thing? Can you tell us what the powder is made up of?

maybe now i need to buy the powder and check the content heheheheh however i think most powders don't contain chemicals otherwise all Indians would start running to dentist I see my wife has weak teeth and she often wants to see a dentist but i don't need to not because I am a male even my mom does not have weak teeth. I feel the more chemicals you eat in every day life could affect your teeth choose a toothpaste with natural ingredients

Well, you aren't eating it really. Because you are supposed to spit it out and wash out your mouth with water but I guess I could kind of see where you would get that idea.

I used to use Crest also but that was when I was in the US. Now I'm using Korean brands. Good luck finding some toothpaste.

i am using white toothpaste from the colgate brand but my most favorite toothpaste color is red in which my younger daughter could not stand up the freshness of the taste in the mouth. So i switch to white color for it has a mild flavor and taste.

I also cannot stand strong flavors in toothpaste. I prefer the refreshing taste. I think white is usually mild and why I prefer it. What flavor was the red toothpaste?

Mine is a blue transparent gel and it tastes just like toothpaste, that is, minty. It claims to be 'cooling and sparkling white' - I don't really believe this; but I like the color!

I would have to say that it's white in color. I do really like to go for those toothpaste that are colored or flavored. I still prefer pure white mint toothpaste.

Another vote for white. This discussion is turning out to be really interesting. Do you ever change your toothpaste?

Hi Snam, Toothpaste is one of the daily used materials in our day to day life. Though toothpaste are various colors, various flavors and also different countries and use it lot of people of the world, but I don't use it .When I was so little I would try to use it but would bleed from my teeth. So from then I didn't use it and don't use till today. I use carefully the little branch of any tree to brush my teeth.

That is very interesting to hear. I have never heard anything like this before. Well, as long as your teeth are clean, I guess you can use whatever method suits you. Happy mylotting!

The color of our toothpaste is light blue. It's a Colgate Total variant. I think it's the 12 hour protection. It was a mistake because mom should have bought the whitening toothpaste variant of Colgate Total. Well i really don't care much about the type of toothpaste so any will do. But i do love the jelly like form not the paste like.

Very detailed but since I no longer live in the US, I would have no idea what that is! I just know that Colgate is a popular brand among mylotters. Anyways, can I ask you something? Does the whitening toothpaste really work? And I agree with you, I do not care much about the toothpaste type as long as it cleans my teeth. The jelly form is not very common here in Korea so I haven't been able to try it.

I got up off my chair just to check! (LOL) This time we have three stripes white, blue and green with a lovely refreshing spearmint taste. This is not the usual one we use, this one happened to be on sale! I've tried whitening toothpaste, can't say if my teeth are any whiter, maybe you need to use it for a long time. Our usual brand of toothpaste is light green and peppermint flavoured. There you have it; our toothpaste in a nutshell!

That is a very nice description! I didn't think anyone check just for this discussion. Anyway, that is some interesting toothpaste you've got there. Yes, I can never tell if whitening toothpaste works or not. Seems like you like peppermint flavors.

We use the regular Crest paste & Crest sensitivity (which we haven't gotten in awhile). We've tried just about everything out there & keep coming back to our fav. The other's don't seem to clean as well & after an hour or so feel like you have to brush again. I do usually have on hand freebie sample tubes of odds & ends for when we run out & don't have the money to buy more till pay day...like now..but I'm in luck b/c it's our toothpaste we use =) Crest original all the way baby!!!!!

I know how you feel about Crest as I used to use that when I lived in the United States. I really missed it as soon as I moved to Korea but now that I am so busy, I guess I have gotten used to it. Freebies are always good to have around.

I and my husband use any kind of toothpaste as long as the brand is either Close-Up or Colgate. We only use the two because we are sure of the quality. I like red, blue, green or combination of them. But I do not like plain white. I want a little spice and nice taste with my toothpaste. Right now what we have is the Apple Mint Flavor of Colgate toothpaste which is very delicious. It is so refreshing and after this toothpaste we will try again another. We never stick to one flavor or brand. We alternate Colgate and Close-Up every time we go on grocery.

It sounds like you are the opposite of me. I usually prefer white or blue colors and dislike red very much. I wish I could try that Apple Mint Flavor Colgate toothpaste as it sounds very refreshing and I love toothpaste that is refreshing. Is there any pattern in which brand you choose or is it random?

I get most of my toothpaste for free. I do that by using coupons and watching for it to go on sale! I often have 1$ coupons that are doublable and I wait for the toothpaste to go on sale for 2$ and then I get it free! It's quite a great deal. Because of this I am always using different kinds of toothpaste. Currently I am using Arm and Hammer toothpaste. It's white. It has a very strong taste. I'm not a huge fan of the taste, but it's definitely a good whitening toothpaste, with the baking soda that is in it.

That is a very good idea. I don't think we get many coupons, especially for toothpaste! However, if we buy them in bulk, which is usually the only option, they are pretty cheap. I said this before also, but if the taste is bearable, I think it is worth the free toothpaste. And I commend you for finding such good deals. At least you will know which ones you prefer after trying many different brands.

We share one toothpaste in our house. It is my mom who bought it. Whatever she feels like buying, automatically that would be our common toothpaste. I have no choice but to used it unless I can afford to buy my own or don't wanna brush my teeth. That would be a no no. My mom just bought a new toothpaste yesterday. The brand is close up from Unilever. It is new active gel close up crystal frost with crystal frost granules. It is cool spice flavor. According to the label, it is for super cool spicy freshness and sparkling white teeth. In fairness, the package is good and I love the color. It's pink!

That is both similar and opposite of what happens in my house. When I go with my mom to the grocery store, I usually "help" her choose. If I don't go, she buys whatever she feels like. I'm glad your mom bought toothpaste you liked! Happy mylotting!

Hi, sanm23.My toothpaste is regular minty flavor, but the color is transparent green. I also tried other flaors, such as fruite flavor. But I think minty flavor is the best. It makes me feel better. Have a good day!

I like the minty flavor also as long as it isn't too strong. Green is a popular and common color for mint flavors. I agree with you, it feels refreshing when I use mint flavored toothpaste. Happy mylotting!

Last night while i was brushing my teeth i ran out of the blue toothpaste from Colgate and underneath my cabinet in the bathroom i have some aquafresh and i will be using that one today as i don't know what is looks like or anything yet since i haven't even opened the box. I guess it will be a surprise to see what is it i had bought it at a closeout store for less then the grocery store would have sold it and i didn't care what is was as long as it is going to clean my teeth.

Good day, snam23. Well, all of us use toothpaste of different colors and flavors. I use the red one because it is very cool. But whatever kind of toothpaste we use, still, they have the same purpose- to clean our teeth and to freshen breath. This is my response, happy mylotting..=)

I agree. The flavor is to match people's tastes because some people cannot last even two minutes (the minimum recommended brushing time) so they created new flavors and with new flavors came new colors. Red is cool! Have a nice day!
