We had very bad connections these last three days. We only had selective browsing. Actually, the only thing which worked were the messengers (ym,gtalk and skype). It affected us very much because most of our work requires us to be online. We called the service provider several times and the most that they can say was sorry for the inconvenience. It was actually more than just inconvenience for us. We lost clients. I don't know if we should ask for rebates or whatever compensations. What do you think?

Most if not all internet users experienced crappy internet connections. And yeah, most if not all internet users experienced crappy services from internet providers with lousy tech support. I guess it's something we should learn to live with. Asking for rebates is not that easy. There are lots of steps to make it legally work to your advantage. The best thing you can do is change network provider provided you are over the lock in period. It's been their practice to give you the best internet connection on your first few weeks or months of usage then they'll make it crappy forcing you to nullify your application within the lock in period so you have to pay a certain amount for disconnection fee.

You sure type pretty fast! lol! I guess a fast internet connection helps too. lol! Well that's a good move. Then maybe expand then ditch the old crappy internet provider. Just search for your internet provider reviews then i'm sure you'll get lots of rants instead.

Hi diutay,
Yeah I would demand for compensation, it is horriable without connection as I have had to go without my computer a few days ago but it was only because my wireless assistance was disabled by accident, but yours is a bit serious, losing clients means losing money.

what connection you have. i guess you have a broaband connection, these are pretty reliable these days. even some fault occurs to them, these get fixed in the shortest time possible. what was the actual problem with your connection, how did it get sorted out?

We have dsl broadband connection and most of the time, it's reliable. Though we asked several times, the company wasn't that forthcoming when we inquired regarding the real cause. The last time a similar case happened something went wrong in the optic fiber something which supposedly connects it. At that time, it was down for two days. So far this is the longest time that this occurred. Hopefully this will be the last time.
