Mother's day is right around the corner. It's almost May people. What are you going to do for the special woman or women in your life for Mother's Day? How do you celebrate Mother's day? Are you going to give that lady a gift for Mother's day to remind her how special she is?

Wow, how long ago this was. Makes you think. Actually I could not remember what was done for mothers day back in 2009. Since I am no longer married and my girlfriend does not have kids of her own, it is only my mother and her mother. We usually either go out for dinner or order in. Something simple.

See. I told you you were digging up some old ones. It's kind of funny. Since my thyroid surgery, I really am not as tame, maybe warm and fuzzy would be better description. HAHA

@inertia4 Actually my thyroid got so large they had to take it out. I was actually very lucky because when they took it out they found a new growth of cancer forming. It was so small that I didn't even have to have radiation. So I got lucky. Now if they could only regulate my medicine. LOL

@mommaj I know they are old and have hair on them. But I enjoy going through old posts. So you did have a Thyroid problem. I kind of figured that. I have to get my Thyroid checked again by my Endo in a few weeks.

Mine passed when I was 14, so I understand what you are going through. Sorry for your loss. It doesn't seem anything helps.

I usually celebrate Mother's Day by getting together with my mother and grandmother for the day. We have a favorite place to go enjoy brunch, and then just enjoy each others' company. I don't get to see them all that often, and it's nice to have an entire day devoted specifically to them. They are the kind of women who are bashful about receiving gifts, so instead of gifts, I try to incorporate some kind of activity I know they will really enjoy, and give them flowers.

That's wonderful to spend the entire day together enjoying each others company. I am sure they both love that. I think it is great you try to do something that they want to do and still give them flowers to mark the occasion with. That is a lovely sentiment. Share the wheres and whats after you go.
