Tried cooking ---- Oooops,turned out to be a mess!!!!!

I believe at some point or the other we all have tried our hands on cooking.....it can be anything the starters,main course,dessert or anything you would call innovative.....you tried you best but you didn't succeed.....or rather messed up the whole area but got something out of it.....lets share our experiences.....I tried making a custard....but turned out to be very hard --- reason i added whole lot of gelatin in it....though my family had it saying, "its nice".....offcourse they would not like breaking my heart....hehe.....afterall we all are budding chefs!!!!
