I am current using Samsung M620, a newer one. But I am getting very very crazy with this mobile and have been regretting a lot for choosing this mobile set. Why? Because of these reasons:
1. My cell phone doesn't allow to see the videos on full screen. This is so crazy when my friends cell phone with another brand mobiles can see the videos on full screen, which even cost less than mine mobile.
2. The video should not be more than ten minutes long. Oh! this is more crazy. If the video is greater than 10 minutes, then the parts after the 10 minutes are all cut off. This drives me maddddddddddddddddddddd.......
3. Another hatest thing about this samsung mobile. It does not allow to install files greater than size 300 kilobytes. What the hell, when the other mobiles can install the larger sized files and again which costs less than mine...
4. I don't know what is the problem with this set. It can't create playlist of the songs which are inside the folders. It needs the songs to be directly located in the MUSIC folder to be able to enqueued for playlist...
And also there are other problems with this mobile. you may be thinking why I took this mobile. At first when I used, I couldn't figure out these defects. But later on as I went on using this, this has started driving me mad. So I warn everyone before buying any cell phone from samsung, the design is excellent but the softwares are too constricted.....

I'm just glad i don't own a Samsung M620 because for sure it will drive me mad too! Well my phone is a Nokia 6680. It's an old model and i'm having it for three years now. It's still working fine with no defects. The thing that drives me mad though is it's memory. The RAM i mean. Whenever i open a program like Smartmovie which allows me to watch movie, i couldn't open another feature like the camera. I should turn Smartmovie off first. That sucks because whenever i needed the camera right away, it still takes time. Well it's just a minor bug but then overall, i love my phone. I think you should choose a phone that runs on Symbian operating system like most newer Nokia phones have.

Hi nzal! I don't think all Samsung phones are bad. You can still use your Samsung phone for the mean time while you're earning for your next phone and when you already have your new phone, you can still use it for another network. You never know when you might need it. Just make the most out of your phone.

Hello modstar!!!
I regret for not buying the NOKIA phone really. I think nokia is nice because the software for nokia is pretty easier to find. Don't you think so?
At least you love your phone. Actually I like my phone but when I remember the above defects if drives me mad and makes me regret for choosing this....
Like you said you have to close Smartmovie off first. But I have bigger problem in my cell than that. And the problem is that I cannot simultaneously listen song and do other tasks in the phone. This is also too much annoying that I forgot to mention. I know in Nokia phones, I have seen we can minimize the song currently playing and then do other tasks in phone. But this is not possible in mine. I would be listening song and when in the middle, sometimes, I may need to see a phone number, then I have to close the song first. Its just too much annoying thing....
I would not recommend anyone to buy the samsung cell phones at all. I am tired of this.....
Thanks for the response modstar. Next time if I buy mobile, then I would surely search for a phone that runs on Symbian operating system and most probably nokia....

Thanks for responding back modstar...
Yeah my cell can be of use even if I have another one. I don't know how good other samsung cell phones may be, but I am very much enough of samsung now. Previously too I had the samsung cell phone, well it was old model it was just for receiving and making calls so i have no any complains for that.
After all the cell phone is mine already, what can I do other thing except to like it anyway....
Keep mylotting...

Ha ha ha ha! Guess what I am using Nokia 6070 model which has
1. Fm radio
2. Sound recording
3. VGA camera &
4. Games.
Well, I am happy with my mobile, although it has only 2.5 mega bytes of memory so, every thing is limited. I don't have bluetooth but infrared so, if I want any files in my pc then I will hve to borrow another mobile which has bluetooth and infra red facility so that I can transfer my files to that and then to my pc via blue tooth.
Long process, isn't it?

I have a Lingo / Wildcard and the two things that really bite about it are that downloaded ringtones won't work as regular tones. There is no way to assign them to a standard ring or personalized ringer for a contact. Second, when recharging you can't have it on silence so when I charge it in the middle of the night and someone calls me, it wakes me up. I would charge it in another room but I use it for an alarm clock and to see what time it is.

Hello freak369!!!
Well about ringtone, did you try it copying to the phone memory. In mine mobile too I can't set the songs from my memory card as the ringtone. In order to set any song to ringtone, I have to copy it to the cell phone. Which is the task I don't want to do. It just takes up much the phones memory, when the phones memory is generally low.
And about not being able to keep the cell in the silence mode. I can't say anything. Why can't your mobile be set to the silence mode while recharging only. Pretty crazy thing, so mystic....
Thankyou very much for the response and happy mylotting....
See you again and again...Have nice time...

The platform of a mobile is the most important thing that i look before i buy any mobile. Besides platform, i check for its RAM and screen resolution. I don't wanna a java mobile cos they are not powerful. I like windows mobile the most.
Windows mobile drive me crazy :P

Yes mine mobile is java platform and that's why it may be weak. In fact it is more weak that other mobiles with java platform. Moreover I think samsung company has restricted the use of extra features of mobile intentionally like it need security code before installing anything and this I got after surfing for hours in the internet. But the RAM and screen resolution is very nice in the mobile. And the software defect cases like I have mentioned, that can be known only when we actually use it...
Thanks for the response nokimchen...

ya...some have mobile have so high security that installing applications becomes a big headache!!! Mobile like Moto ROkr E6 have so high security that users need to install a software that enable the other installed software to grant permission from the system to access the net, memory, etc...
Anyways, java mobile are not bad :) Usually all the java mobiles look stylish :P lolzzz

Yes nokimchen!!!
The only nice feature of my mobile is its design, style. This what betrayed me hehe...
yeah that may be the security reason that I can't set up the program I like. But I can manage that why the company didn't remember the guys like me while designing the mobile lol...
Also the software for my samsung mobile are pretty hard to be found...
Thanks for responding back nokimchen....
See you again and again....
