Okay....Christmas is coming and with the $1.36 I have in mylot account well ah it is not going to go very far... Like I said I am not here because of the money but it is very addicting... he he.. Well anyhow... I have two boys 17 and 11 and one girl age 5. For Christmas I plan on buying my own popcorn baskets, two cans of soda, a couple of candy items to put in the pocorn baskets I am also buying one of their calanders for 1.99 that has 14 coupons rent one get one free. and putting it all together for them for a gift.... I may put in a five dollar gift card from the movie gallery too... If I buy the items in bulk I may be able to put together a couple more baskets for next to nothing to give as gifts to our neices that we buy for this year... Five year old daughter... I plan on buying the ingredients for making homemade playdough... Put the recipe on a receipe card and put all ingredients together...and make that with her christmas morning.. I was thinking of making it beforehand but I think she would also like to help make it. Another idea... Go to the dollar store and buy $1 thermal cups and inside place a couple of packets of hot cocoa that you can get for free or almost free when you use a coupon at store that doubles.... ummm... still thinking as Christmas is going to be tight again this year like it was the year before and the year before... he he.. I am just getting used to it... Any ideas please post...

Those are wonderful ideas and gifts you have so far. I just love the dollar store! Especially if everything in the store is a dollar. There are stores out there that go above the dollar mark. Another really easy idea is going to a craft store and buying a yard of fleece on sale. Then making it into several scarves. You can even pick up some craft glue and glue on patches. Initial patches or butterflies, depending if it is a gift for a male or female. Hope this adds to your ideas.

I am making what I call hard tack candy in various flavors and giving them to friends and family in tins and/or special candy plastic bags along with some home made items. One thing I'm doing for my co-workers is putting a packet of hot cocoa in a mug with two Hershey's kisses and a candy cane with the following poem: Snowman Soup 1 package hot chocolate mix 3 Hershey Kisses 1 handful of miniature marshmallows 1 candy cane Put items in a mug and wrap with cellophane. Include this poem: Was told you've been real good this year Always glad to hear it With freezing weather drawing near You'll need to warm the spirit So here's a little Snowman Soup Complete with stirring stick Add hot water, sip it slow It's sure to do the trick! There are a scad of great cheap ideas at http://www.organizedchristmas.com.

looks like your list was well thought out. I can't think of a whole lot to add. What about making cookies in a jar for them. Kids love to bake and what better way than to have everything in a jar?
