why do you give flowers to a girl?

Hi, this is actually for boys out there. Im just curious, why would you give flowers to a girl who is not yet your girlfriend? I mean you're courting her and you give her flowers. Do you give flower only if you know you have the change with this girl or you just really want her to feel special even you dont know if she likes you or not? If you gave her dozens of flowers and after a while she turned you down, of course you'll feel hurt. Do you feel any regrets about the money you spend for that flowers? Or is it just okay because you just want her to give flowers?

Is she your girlfriend or not? Have you ever gave flowers to the one you're courting and then she turn you down?

HI, actually I am not a guy but I want to give this post some comment about your questions.
First, guy give a girl flower mean different ways. 1, mean love or Friend ship. 2. make her feel special, of course. 3. girl most likely love flower and it indicate fresh sense ... etc.
Second, if the guy love girl. He doesn't think how much it cost to give her flower. and it mean a lot to the girl too.
Third, Guy never think bad how much they waste on flower to the girl he love or be friend with.
There are many reason about this flower but i just pick three for example. if the girl accept flower then it means a lot to him too and that could make his day too. I understand that most of guy think bad what he had done and how much he waste on this girl... but I never meet one yet... if he is too complicate then dont spend money on girl; and if he does then please think twice.

I really hope that all guys didnt matter about the money they waste on the flowers. Actually im the one who turned down two guys who gave me dozens of flowers. Well from the start i told them im not looking for a bf but my friends were the one who tells those guys not to give up on me. I felt guilty when they gave me flowers coz i know they dont have a chance on me. I didnt even know they're gonna give me flowers on my birthday. I dont really want the guy to spent so much money for me if i know they dont have a chance.

Im not a male however this is my opinion and from what i know....Where i live you dont see a guy giving a girl flowers unless the guy wants something in return. You do have your few that do it to be just nice but after a while if the girl hasnt gave in to the guy then you can count on the guy not comming around or giving you flowers again LOL but thats just how it works around here.

For me, flowers mean that a person cares. Flowers are the most expensive gift you can give to a girl you are courting or whatever. Flowers don't just bloom out of nowhere, they are taken care off. For me, it shows or in my understanding giving a girl a flower means you really care so much about her that like a flower, you will do everything to make it look beautiful.
