O.K. I know a lot of people will be getting all squeamish and silly but offal is cheap and supposed to be good for you. Anyway, I will happily eat liver but how do you get rid of the taste of wee out of kidneys. I love the texture but can't stand the taste of wee. Is it all in my head because I know of their job in the body or is there really something you can soak them in overnight to rid them of the awful taste. Please will somebody answer me. I really am quite desperate.

I love eating also the offal although some people don't like them. Here in the Philippines it is normal to eat them. I think to remove the unpleasant smell and taste you can add ginger or lemon grass for the added aroma. Vinegar also can help to remove the odor. Cleaning with salt can also help and boil it with vinegar afterwards. We have many ways to cook offals here in the Philippines and we enjoy eating it as well.
