for the 3rd time this year. and when i went it to complain and tell them how upset i was the secretary told me it happens with other kids too. how can kids be sent home instead of daycare when no one is home. it's written in the agenda's where the child is suposed to go. i'm so upset that they keep making this mistake. i don't trust the school with my child anymore and i don't think she's safe at school. they don't seem to be able to fix the issues of kids being sent to the wrong place.

i would go higher up or if that don't work go to the media schools hate being on the news because thats to dangerious for any child let alone a 5 year old and schools wonder why parents are taking there kids out of school and home schooling them this is just one reason, i mean if it was there first or second day of school then ya it may be forgiveable but the year is almost over they should know by now,

I completely agree. I'd go to the school's Superintendant. If they choose not to do anything I'd go to the school board and I then the media. I'm sure a local news station would be quick to jump on such a story. Be sure to document your contacts with those you speak with. If you end up going to the media you then have proof you took the proper steps to resovle this and nothing happened. It helps you look like a rational parent and not an overprotective parent who's "blowing things out of proportion."

That is crazy. I don't know about where you live but where I live you cant let the child off the bus until they are in third grade with out an adult there to get them. If they take them to the wrong place they have to correct it by taking them to the right place. Either way when one of my children was about 6 he was taken to the wrong place and after I left the school they got it right from then on. Have you tried calling the bus shop to see what thier instructions were becouse if the school has relayed the information it is up to them, however if they weren't it is the school I would be having the talk with.

actually the bus driver is the only person i trust and the only person who knows what is going on. the teacher has put her on the bus and my bus driver also has a letter stating wich days i'm at work during the week anyway she has taken her back into the school but it is not her responsibility. thank god for my good bus driver

There is something wrong at the school. If they know where the kids are supposed to go, they should make sure the kid gets on the correct bus. I would also think by this time most kids should know where they are going and be able to verbalize a concern if they feel they are going to the wrong place.

That is so NOT good! I would be furious if that was going on with my children. Once, okay, mistakes happen. Even twice, could be an honest mistake. But THREE times... that is a pattern (thank you Dr.Phil for that reminder!). Have you considered taking your grievance to a higher up? Perhaps the school board and of course, your local politicians?

It sounds like your child needs another school. It also sounds like the secretary didn't seem very sympathetic to the situation and to admit this is happening with other kids just reinforces how lax things are at the school. Your child should never be SENT anywhere. No 5 year old should be walking home from school alone. These people seem irresponsible.

That's absolutely awful! It's the school's responsibility to get the kids safely to where they need to go and to the -right- place. You should definitely definitely look into talking to someone a little higher up, because that's incredibly dangerous.

Some school may cheat you when you visit or when they want you to regester. Next time ,be careful.
