I'm desperate...

I'm like many other Americans out here who is in search of the answers to how to get out of the mess we are in. I know there are no true answers out there right now but I want to help my spouse in EVERY effort I can to make his stress level go down a little while at the same time be able to stay at home with our daughter. We have looked into daycare and the cost of daycare would be an entire paycheck if not 3/4 of it to have her daycare. In the end it wouldn't be cost effective to have her in daycare when I can take care of her for free and know that she is in a healthy, safe place. I have researched many type of online jobs and some how they all turn up being poor reviewed or someone has no success at it. So I am asking everyone out there who is working a LEGIT online job that is making decent money to please share with me. This is our last month that we may be able to pay our bills before losing our home that we worked hard to get. I did once have a decent office job but lost that when they didn't want to deal with me being off for maternity leave. I'm not asking for pity or sympathy I just need serious help on finding something that I can do to help bring in some money. I have already tried clixsense.com & neobux.com and found that the pay is little and the ptc sites are minimal. I don't expect to make a ton of money on myLot, but I am also doing that to help as well.
If ANYONE has any suggestions of work please fill me in, if you don't mind letting me know approximate earnings as well it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for any input!

Well, this isn't exactly a way to make extra money, but it might be helpful so I thought I would post it here.
Don't forget to ask your mortgage lender for "forebearance" this is NOT the same thing as foreclosure. It is a way to hopefully get them to give you a few month without a mortgage payment, or to help you catch up with payments you are behind on.
I'm not an expert on it, but basically they will add the amount you are behind, or are going to miss to future payments over the course of a period of time. You then get to skip a few months worth of payments or at least be no longer considered behind.
The problem with it is that your monthly payments will increase until the forebearance amount is paid off, but it would buy you some time to find a way to increase your income. I'm sure you've already considered it, but don't forget to cut your expenses as much as possible during that time too.

thanks for the response. We have discussed this with our mortgage company and since the government is doing the Making Homes Affordable deal the mortgage company is backlogged with calls, etc. So they aren't able to do much at the moment when it comes to anything related to your mortgage. What was explained to me by one of the customer service reps was that it wasn't a penalty it simply allowed you to skip a couple payments and add them on to the duration of your loan. So instead of your mortgage running up on March 2010 it would be June 2010. We were told to do this as last resort option since you can only do this once a year and even then its not a guarantee that you will be able to come up with the money for your mortgage payment after the 3 month skip. They also aren't sure if this will effect your chances of being able to jump aboard the government plan bus to help "refinance" your mortgage since you have to be current on your mortgage to apply.

It's good to know that you've already looked into it, even if it might not help you right now. I hope your mortgage lender gets on the ball and starts implementing the programs that are supposed to be helping people keep their homes!
Best of luck to you.

I think most people all over the world are crazy to get away from it. But first of all the financial institutions, governments etc should be blamed.when in term of competition, they were lending people at any rate any amount. Most even did not have any capacity to return them.

What about going to Financial Services for help? They may be able to save your home! I don't know but it's a hopeful guess. What they do is, they work with your creditors to lower your interest rate and lower your payments as well and that could be with anything too such as being behind in the electric bill and so on. You pay them a certain amount each month and THEY pay your bills according to what you're paying each month. It'll be significantly lower than what you're paying now and it gets you out of debt and faster. It's worth a try, all they can say is no they can't help you. I hope you'll give it a try. I wish you all the best.

I honestly believe you. With the way the economy is right now, I have no doubt what so ever that you're telling me the truth. Now I have another set of suggestions. What about renting a room out? You could check the person's references before accepting anyone as well as their criminal record. Also you could babysit a number of children and generate some income that way. I wish I had a quick solution for you but I don't but I am trying to throw some ideas your way. What state do you live in?

Oh my gosh! After reading some of your responses and comments, I see you're from my home town! What a small world, huh? That place is EXPENSIVE! Whew! I don't know how anybody can afford to live there! My parents have their house up for sale in Spotsylvania/Chancellor area. They lived in that house for over 30 years and I grew up there. I now live in North Carolina, near the VA border and my parents are on the Va side near the NC border. lol Well I hope my other suggestions help in some way. I'm trying!!

I do not know whether my suggestion to help you, but in our country, which is not allowed, in accordance with our national labor law, during maternity leave, the company has no right to dismiss us. I do not know whether you have here are protected by law.

I was not protected by this law. I'm in VA in the US. In our area if you work for a small company and hold a crucial position that has to be filled (which I ran the office -AP/AR) they are allowed to fill your position without allowing the position to be avaiable when you are ready to go back to work. I have read numerous amounts of stories from other women in my same case that tried to pursue legal action and nothing came from it but another expense of a lawyers fee. My previous place of employment offered me 4 weeks of paid maternity but when I told them that I would be out for 6 minimum if not 8 due to having to have a c-section they were not willing to work with this. Even when I had a week's of vacation time that I was going to use and was willing to take a 1 week no pay. If I had the money to invest in a lawyer right now to pursue it - if it was worth it- I would but I don't think I would get any further than most of the other women who have done the same. Thanks for the response!

ok so add me to your friends list and i can send you the link to my blog....
that's straight, since most of the people here that posted their response have already asked you to add them, add me too...
i too am in such a situation right now, and just today my husband texted me and said, that he wants to look for another job because the one he has right now is the pay is not enough, actually its below minimum... and he is so tired working... i felt weak, because i wanted to help him, i just dont know how, i am hearing impaired and have tried looking for jobs, unfortunately find none, even the social services here dont have an offer for me.
i turned to online earning, i have joined some sites for free, and started earning here and there... have more than $50 now, it may be little in your country but here it is quite a sum already. i have made a blog on it, so if you're gonna add me to your friends' list, i can send you my link. i posted proof of my payments there, so i know those sites are legit and they are paying even free members, just last week i got paid $37, the last one i havent posted the proof yet.
im still not done searching for sites where i can earn for free. i cant join paid sites since i dont have the money to pay for it.
if you work online, then you can stay at home and take care of your child, that would be a plus to you. i am doing that exact thing now, staying on the net, earning some cash here and there, even if its a little amount, it adds up you know when you have many sites joined. and i have here my almost 2 year old boy, which i take care of. i think its better this way, than if i work outside, and then worry about my little one.

All I can say is don't forget mylot in addition to what sites will you get from here. I believe you can get bigger earnings with mylot if you have your focus and time. It's much easier to earn here but if you'll find others much better have this as an additional earnings.

I won't forget about mylot. Mylot is what is giving me the oppurtunity to learn about other companies through other's experiences. I started on mylot as a possible money earner and slowly learned that it takes a lot of time and focus as you said to get a payout. It's not I would say the best income provider but its easy and brings in a little cash. Thanks for the response!

I just want to say I am in Tears not bad ones, but good ones because of the response you have received from so many to try and help you. I am a bit worse off than you are, thing is you can't loose faith, it works. Look how so many are doing what they can to help you through, this is so awesome. We are about to loose our utilities so I won't even be able to do this soon. I pray that all the knowledge everyone has passed on to you works and helps you through your situation.
God Bless each one of you in Mylot for the generous help that you have given this person.

Thank You! Well trust me, I'm in tears in both good and bad ways. The generosity of people on here is AMAZING to say the least. I have talked to almost everyone on here and they have guided me in some form or another to possible money making ways. I would do almost anything to keep us afloat right now. I'm sorry that you are bad off as well. That is one thing that I am slowly turning to is faith. I've never been a real religious person but I have honestly felt the need to go back to church and leave my life in God's hands in hopes he gets us threw this. I know there are people out there a lot worse off than myself and my thoughts and prayers go out to them because I know its not easy. I just hope something happens so everyone is in a better position in life.
I wish you the best and you will be in my thoughts. I hope things work out for you and I wish I could help.

Since you are in the US you may want to try Associated Content and helium. Send me a friend request and I will pm you the link for ac and you can sign up under me. If you sign up under me I will be your guide if you have any questions. I am also a category editor on there.
Just because someone doesn't have any luck with these sites doesn't mean you won't. I have heard good and bad about both but I made $80 a week writing 20 articles a week. The articles I wrote only took me an hour each. I have two young children and have been a stay at home mom for 6 years so I know where you are coming from. We almost lost our home.
AC has upfront payments for almost anything and heliums upfront payments are specific and you are writing against other writers. I do great on ac even with page views. I haven't written for three weeks and I have been making a dollar a day on page views alone. I expect to have about $30 this month from page views. I will start writing again soon. Right now I am concentrating on some personal stuff.
You are so right about mylot. I am getting excited because I am nearing $4. This is over a period of 2 months. That's not alot. SO I will continue my AC journey and hopefully I will be able to continue to stay home awhile.
