So, tomorrow we have an afternoon flight because we're spending a week in Florida for our anniversary. I am getting ready to pack now, less than 24 hours in advance!!!
My questions to everyone are:
When vacationing, how far in advance do you pack ahead? Or do you procrastinate and pack last minute?
Do you always feel like you're forgetting something? ... Or are you fairly organized and pretty certain you always pack everything needed?

First.........have a great time, get a nice tan and don't eat the ice cubes.
Second.......sometimes I forget to pack anything! LOL But then I get to buy all new stuff on my vacation so I'm sure I do it on purpose! LOL
Usually though, I pack a day in advance so everything's clean and ready to go. I don't stress over what I might forget. Well as long as I don't forget my ticket! LOL

I don't vacation much but when I do, I have my bag packed at least a week in advance, that way if during the week I realize I forgot to put in something I just add it.

I'm an avid list maker so I start making my list of what to take on vacation as soon as we decide that we're going on vacation. I also pack the day before we leave so that I don't have to worry about doing it at the last minute. I'm in Florida, by the way, and I want you to know that the weather is great so I hope you have a wonderful vacation...and don't forget the sunscreen! The sun is pretty strong down here and you can get burned quickly.

I try do pack the week i am going because as the week goes on i keep adding things into my luggage. I am heading on a mini vacation this weekend to Orlando as i just live two hours south of it. Don't forget to pack your tank tops and shorts if you heading to south Florida or in the middle of Florida somewhere because right now as it is 8 15 at night it is around 85 degrees. It is really humid out right now and not the nicest of weather but if your traveling here I'm sure you already have looked over the weather. Have a great flight and enjoy Florida.

A little of both. I usually start making a list about a week or so in advance, to make sure that I don't forget something that I need. But, most of the time, I don't start packing until the night before. I finish the morning of. I used to not make the list, and try to pack at the last minute. But, I found myself forgetting too much that way!

I start about 3 or 4 days before I leave and as the days go by try to add the things I think I'll need..then on the last day pack all the things I had to use until the time I close my suitcase....and am pretty organized! I think anyway.

I am last minute, I pack what I need on top so in case I need to get it fast I can. I hate packing a week ahead of time, I need everything I wear. Have fun, post pics.

Hello my friend Bethany1202 Ji,
I visited Florida area in Sep-2003, with my hubby, as we were neede by our younger son
for his first time father-hood. It's a lovely area. All greenish. We were living at
Fort Lauder Dale. More than me, my hubby will go right from the time, he thinks for
any trip. He will start preparing in stages, firstly all lists, what is to be carried.
He will check with weather forcast, going away with reasons will have special atention.
I also feel it is good to prepare in advance to avoid last moment rush up. So how was your
vaccation. I hope, you might be back by now.
May God bless You and have a great time.

My suggestion is its better to pack up 1 day before if we are going long journey...because there are a chances to miss out some things and items in our bags....it should be well organize according to our time and budget.....

I'm on a flight early Sunday morning going to PR and I'm half packed. I try to be as organized as possible. If I forget something I by it when I reach my destination. Have a great trip!

I usually pack 4 days before my scheduled trip. But I usually make a checklist of things to bring/to pack one week before my trip. I don't like packing last minute because it tends to stress me out and makes me feel as if I missed something. By making a complete list one week before, you are somehow assured that you will be packing every single thing you need. :)

Oh I hope you are having a great time as I am typing this! We are the worst at packing! Every time I have great intentions of taking less and getting it done much earlier but every year finds us packing the night before and the morning we leave and teh car being full to bursting for four of us for a week! lol Just as well it is only a 3 hour drive we have to make! lol xxx

I tend to pack on the same day if I am going away for a day or 2, though if it is longer than that, I tend to pack 2 or 3 days before I leave.

I typically pack the night before, unless it is a trip to another country. I usually start collecting things for that trip a week or so in advance.
And yes, I ALWAYS forget something! I went camping in the FL Keys just last weekend. I brought my pillows to my friend's house, but then forgot to put them in the car when we drove down to the keys! I had to sleep with my head on my day pack! LOL
Have fun! :)

I usually pack the night before...which is crazy. I have a family of 5 that I pack for. But I have found that the best way for me to make sure that I get everything I just take a couple days, of course ahead of time, to make a list of everything. Even make the kids make a list of the items they want to bring. usually with that list I don't get half way gone or to my destination and realize that I forgot something. So people who don't already try the make listing idea, give it a try!

I can totally relate to packing at the last minute and then realizing when you get to your destination that you forget something. I went to San Francisco in 2007 with a cousin of mine and forgot a few things, so I had to make a trip to the local store which was quite a ways from our hotel. I'm going back California in June with my family to take my son to California and I know I'll forget something. So I've learned to pack way ahead of time. So to answer your queston, I'm somewhat organizaed.
