My partner was a chain smoker. Before he quit smoking, I did my best to convince him to quit smoking. I even told him that I will never kiss him on the lips unless he quit smoking. I don't like my partner to smoke. It is dangerous to his health. When he smokes beside me, it is also dangerous to my health because I am the next person who is in contact with the smoke. Good thing he join a soccer team and his coach advise him to stop it. When he starts playing soccer, he realized that he needs to stop it. He had hard time breathing when he is running. From then on, he only smokes occasionally with my permission.

I dont want to sound rude i really dont but what do you think you are his mother? He has to have permission from you to smoke? that is just crazy. If he was smoking before you got with him then you should have either excepted it or moved on. Smoking is bad but i dont think its ANYONES choice to weather or not your partner smokes or not. You must have excepted his smoking when you got with him so you shouldnt make him change if he dont want to its his chioce and you should have respected that.

Nope!! my hubby is not a smoker. I'm glad he isn't.. he doesn't drink either. He has no vices and am glad about it. Congratulations that you made your hubby stopped smoking. It is really dangerous to health not only him but you too because of the side stream of the smoke.

Unfortunatly, my hubby is a smoker. I don't like it at all. I love the man just not this dirty habbit. I've placed signs in past around the house telling him to smoke outside ect and that was met w/ not so nice response. He smokes probably half the time outside and the rest of the time he hides in the basement!

AM so lucky to inform you that my hubby is a good person. and has avoided any bad habit or vices that my ex-bf's has done over those years. it's really hard to have a relationship with a smoker i must say. it's a good thing he's asking permission from you. .

My bf is also a smoker and he smokes a lot. I don't like my partner smoking and he also wants to stop but he can't since I am away from him. He used to play football before and he had a knee injury when he was 21 years old so he stopped playing that sport. Maybe if I will ask him to play football again, that will lessen his cravings for smoking until he quits permanently. That will help. Thanks.

I'm glad that my partner does not smoke. But my father before was a chain smoker. He did stop smoking during the time when my mother is pregnant with my youngest sister. The doctor advise him to stop smoking because basically it can affect the child during pregnancy. It's really hard to stop smoking. I remember that my father is irritable that time and he substitute candies for it. And now, it's been fifteen years already that my father is not into smoking. It is really dangerous to our health so it is much better if we help those we love to quit or just minimize using it.

I am lucky enough my husband does not smoke. Never. I hate people who smoke. Even when they are my relatives or friends. I do not go near them when they smoke because I still respect that they want to do it. I know people are aware of the fact that when you smoke your life is at risk to a lot of cancer and your life is shortened. But then advice for them is not enough. But I am pretty sure that when smokers grow old they will harvest the fruit of what they sow. So beware to all smokers. Second hand smokers are also at risk because they are prone to the side effect of the smoke so I really never go near smokers. Sometimes I hate it when in public I encounter or come across smokers what I do is just cover my mouth and nose. Maybe my husband is not my husband this time if he is a smoker. I despise people and I never befriend with them if they smoke, be it a lady or a guy.
