Most of the time, yes, i do like to turn on the background music of the game. But sometimes, if the background music will affect someone esle in the room, i will turn it off or turn down the volume. If i don't like the background music, i will turn it off too. I do agree tht background music can make you feel exciting about the game, sometimes, you hear that music from somewhere else, you feel so surprise and so familar and make you feel like you want to play that game again. LOL...

Hi youless, it’s very much less interesting and fun as well to turn off the background music when playing computer game. I like the game as well as the background music of it.
If there is no one around, usually I would like to turn the button to higher volume. The music makes us to feel high and excited when coming to a certain stage or the high tide of the game. Different music is available during different challenging stage of the game.
It’s so boring and monotonous if playing games without its background music turned on.
Happy posting

Same as you, I like to turn on the background music while playing. It adds to the feeling, the action. Especially when the music is really nice and sounds cute, I turn on the BG volume.

It depends on what I am doing on teh game I think for me. When I am traveling or just doing a lot of walking/chatting, then it is like pointless and I turn it off. If I am like no lifing or something then I do turn it on t help me focus.

Which game are you referring to? When I play a video game of some sort, I prefer to do it without the music, because I like to listen to my own music. Now there are some games like wheel of fortune where the sounds are necessary, so I will turn on the sound. Wheel of fortune doesn't have music, so it's just fine. There are other games I like where I can keep the game sounds, but not have music. in that case I'll choose that option.

Actually in several games I turn the music off. Particularily games that have a great ambient soundset. I did that in Dragon Quest VIII, the environment sound sin that are just great. You turn the volume up a bit and it sounds like walking around outside... with monsters... .

It really depends on the game. Most of the time the background music get's so repetitive. I usually keeps mines off and keep the sound effects on. Then I play my own music in the background.

only with certain games like final fantasy or castlevania i just love the music but for games like pokemon i prefer something more hard like cradle of filth so i think it all depends on the game, there are games with great music and games with lame music

I dislike it, actually. It's distracting and after awhile it gets a bit repetitious. But that's me. ^_^' I usually play other music, on my computer though, for everything I do online...games included. Cuts down on the repetition and helps my concentration.

Hi youless. I do the other way around. I feel distracted with the background music on. Everytime i play games, its on a mute state. Actually i always mute the volume of my pc. I just turn it on if i want to hear something or i am chatting or calling via the messenger.

I never listen to msuic while playing a game, I always use the game background music it just adds to the atmosphere and I feel like I am more into the game. The creators made the sound for a reason and it helps to create an atmosphere in the game. Some game music is incredible.
