Border Collies getting spayed

My border collie is almost 2 years old and I want to get her spayed. MY husband doesnt want to get her fixed becasue he says she will get fat. How do you feel about this statement? I think that she will not get fat if she is kept busy.

What a lucky person you are. A Border Collie is my favourite breed of dog. I had one many years ago and she was spayed. It had no ill effects whatsoever and she never put on weight. The right food and lots of excercise will keep her fit. Let her run free as much as you can every day. Give her a friendly pat from me.
