In a party, do you lie about anything?

There are people who always tell a lie in a party, just to get a proud from the crowd. Like, one would say that he is the one who made max profit last week, or someone would say that he was the one who had slept with all women present in this party etc.
For me, I would say:
1. I am not a virgin and I have many girlfriends.
2. I would definitely tell a lie about my salary.
These two are the lies I would throw at others and they would believe me too!
What are your?

to be honest w/you people who tell lies are one of my pet peeves. the truth always does better i think no matter what the consequences. if u don't want to answer their questions just tell them it's personal, none of their buisness or whatever. happy friday to u.

No, it is not like being personal or anything but just to get the focus, people use to tell a lie.
Just like, one person might ask me how many girls you have dated till date, I might say 3-4 or more just to get that person's attention and it might attracts others to my discussions too!

I do think I would lie about anything. Now I might lie about where I live if I feel someone is gonna become a stalker or something like that. I do not like to lie to people and that is my nature. I hope this answers your question sanuanu. Take care and happy mylotting to you.

I don't lie about anything in a party because I don't want all eyes on me because of the faked things,I know that many people lie about something just want to have face in the party, they always boasted about something, like a famous person is one of his good friend or something.I think it's meaningless

I like going to parties especially if one of my friends has invited me. I like to meet new people and some old friends that I didn't see for a while. I don't like bragging as I am an honest person and most of the people in a party knows me well so I don't make up any stories about me. I like to tell some things about me but not all of it as there are some things that needs to be private. There are times when I become the center of attraction in a party, my friends tell other people about me so sometimes I am amazed that someone will tell me, "I have heard so much about you."

i dont attend parties were i am a stanger, except if i am there because of work. if i am in a party to work then i dont have much time to minggle. if it is a party that i am invited then i am sure people knows me already. it maybe relatives party or friends. but to response to the discussion i dont lie about myself. what you see is what you get.

Hi Dear,
I think that some people have this habit of portraying themselves as the greatest person of the world, but I think even the world knows what is right and what is wrong. So just chill and do not portray an incorrect picture of yourself.

In that case, I rather not to participate a party like that. It make no senses, and I hate to exaggerate things like that. I don't want to be blown by others who discover that was a lie.

Hi Sanu,
I usually do not resort to lies in party or any special meeting. But sometime I have to for my safety and some one else' too. I think these lies are harmless for if somebody asks me about a common friend and his/her personal life and if that is an unpleasant saga to tell, I refrain from giving his/her the actual data.
I do not think these are really bad.

Whether you think lies are ok or not, the major problem with them is remembering whom you told what to. I have never been to a party where my virginity or the number of boyfriend I have would come up but if it did and I lied to several people
and then saw those same people sometime later at another party how would I remember
what I had said to them. This could really bite you if you saw a gorgeous person with one of your party friends and asked to meet and were told no because they felt you had to many girlfriends already. Or if this gorgeous person said no when you asked her out because she had heard that you already had a lot of girlfriends. OUCH
Best to just enjoy yourself for whom you are and not lie.

Hi Sanadoodoo..So now you just told us that you have never been with a girl and that you are poor..and guess what, you would still be my friend! Nobody has to have anything to impress me as a friend but a good heart. Thats all I ask.
Personally I would not lie about anything. People can like me or not but I will not try to impress anyone. Oh I like a good joke and may joke about something, but will not purposely lie to impress.

If I am in a party with strangers, usually, I lied about my age. I don't want people to know my exact age. If I'm with teenagers, I will say that I am 19 years old. If I'm with matured crowd I would say I am 25 years old. The reason? That I am not sure of. I just don't like to let people know how old I am.
