I am a non cry it out parent. I think if the baby is crying then generally they need something even if it is just attention because they are bored.. or snuggles cause they are lonely. perhaps the clothing is itching them!! how irritating would that be if you had no motor skills or verbal skills to tell someone the tag in your shirt is poking you and hurting you all you could do is cry, but they just leave you cry yourself to sleep..

yeah Im a non CIO either. My mom always tells me that I need to let her be like that and just talk to her from a distance so that she will learn not to rely on me so much... Whatever! I hate to see my babygirl cry!

i hate do hear mine cry too.. i feel they are crying cause they really need or want something.. i have gone to some parenting courses on my own to gather information, and what most of the childcare experts i've talked to have said, dont let the baby cry for longer then ten mins.. that full out screaming cry.. it can possibly give them brain damage.. there are ongoing studies that conclude it. also, they say that it is impossible to spoil a baby under 6 months.. after all they rely on your for everything!!
