Not so Satisfied with my 1st Purchase in eBay, how about you?

Im starting to purchase online now since i find it very convenient for me. It also saves me time to roam around from one shop to another trying to figure out the right item i want to buy. I purchased some swarovski stuffs on ebay. The seller is a powerseller with lots of good feedbacks about her. Actually, a 100% good feedbacks. I was a little bit dismayed when I receive the items because some stones were missing and there was a wrong item shipped. I send an email to the reseller because i dont want to ruin her good reputation, telling her my negative feelings about our transactions. She asked sorry and will make up to me according to her. The good side was she's very helpful in choosing items and very fast with the delivery. Whats your first experience with ebay? was it good or somewhat bad?

The first purchase I ever made on eBay was back in 2004. I saw a book on the site that someone was selling I wanted. As far as I can remember I was perfectly fine with my first purchase as well as all the other purchases I've ever made using eBay. Some of the sellers were a little less than great when it came to communication but everything worked out fine for me with all of my purchases.

I have never had a negative experience on eBay. I have had a couple of sellers take longer that I would like to deliver but I always received what i ordered and it was always in great condition. I don't think you are allowed to place negative comments on eBay anyways. If you have an unresolved problem you need to go directly to eBay about it and have them handle the issue with the seller. It's always been fun selling on eBay as well.

Actually over the years, I have made many purchases via Ebay. For the most part I was usually pretty satisfied and had no real issues. Sometimes the main issue ended up being Shipping being quite high, but most people are Great to work with on there as well. I did have one Bad experience on there, but the person took care of it right away, so everything did turn ok as well. All I can say it is your choice, but wishing you the Best from here.

Thanks Krausehome. I think the common problem of people encountered with their purchases online is the shipment. Happy mylotting!

I like shopping via the net, but my first shopping experience in Ebay isn't good. I bought stamps from Ebay. However, I have never received my stamps. This is why I never want to buy anything from Ebay again. I love China

That's so nice of you and thanks a lot! I am not collecting stamps. I bought it because I wanted to give to a doctor who was very kind and careful to me since I really appreciated to him.

Really? Thats worse than what I had experience. Are you a collector of stamps? I can show you some stamps that might interest you. PM me if you are interested. Thanks my friend for responding.

Hi jhoannejoi, Sorry your first eBay experience wasn't good. But even with big name retailers you'll occasionally have problems with a purchase. I sell on eBay and am very careful about what gets sent out, even so a small percentage of items will not be perfect and the customer isn't happy. In those cases I always refund their money. I wouldn't give up on eBay. Make sure you get a refund from this seller. If you're still not satisfied you can leave a negative feedback. Dave

Hi there. Well, I was quite satisfied with my purchase in ebay, all things considered, and I'm quite happy that it turned out that way since my first ever purchase was from a buyer living in the United Kingdom whereas I'm living in the Philippines. International purchases are quite tricky and I'm just happy that the buyer I chose was very reliable and professional. Also, the item I bought from her (a manga/Japanese comic book) was in the condition she had described in her post, if not better - and I actually got it for almost half the price of a brand new item including the shipping. Needless to say, I left her a well-deserved positive feedback for the transaction. I'm sorry to hear about your first experience, though. Hopefully, it would still work out, considering that your seller is willing to make up for it.

I have never dealt with Ebay. I do not like the idea of bidding on something and since it is not usually with a major store, they might not accept credit cards and have no idea what recourse I would have if there is an error. So I am rather hesitant to try.

Actually you can purchase something in there without bidding. Those items that marked with buy now. Thanks my friend for responding.

i have been pretty fortunate on ebay, though i did have one incident where the item i paid for never came and i complained to the company but never heard ANYTHING from them! how horrible is that? i bought a pin from etsy and it wasnt anything like the picture, so i was disappointed with that. again, no restitution was made. you have to take a chance i guess.

I'm sorry you had a not so good experience with your first time using ebay. I haven't made too many purchases from ebay over the years... maybe a dozen or so? But all have worked out just fine. I've gotten some old video games, jewelry, travel mugs, and Wizard of Oz collectibles. All of my experiences have been great. My biggest issue was with a WofOz plate and the delivery company (I couldn't go to pick it up from their office, because no buses ran there), but even then, they rearranged another delivery time so I would for sure be home. And that has nothing to do with ebay or the item.

I'm a seller on eBay & so is my wife. So far she has never purchased anything through there & I have only purchased once to resell it here. That one time experience was not too bad & I was quite satisfied. In your case, I think the seller is very responsive, responsible & helpful so you should be quite thankful!~ Hope all goes well!~

I buy and sell on ebay. I have been for the past 3 years. I have had only a couple problems but I contacted the seller and it was taken care of right away. I only sell items that i have and I descrobe them down to every detail Some times my shipping is a bit slow for others but I ship from a small post office that has wierd hours. They are closed in the middle of the day for over an hour. I keep in touch with anyone that buys anything and do my best to have the buyer be happy.
