i was watching the news this morning and they had a story about a woman who developed a condition known as aquagenic urticaria after giving birth to her now 3-year-old son.
if you're wondering what that means, this woman IS ALLERGIC TO WATER!!!
aquagenic urticaria affects just 1 in 230 million people worldwide and causes hives to flare up on the skin within 15 minutes of coming into contact with water. The hives can last for several hours.

I used to have a pine tree hanging in my car. It was a pain - the pine needles kept shedding all over the dashboard, and after a while we were up to our ankles in them. I took it down and installed a shower nozzle instead. Now my car won't be stolen by people suffering from aquagenic urticaria. Bonus!

you should of started a business selling the pine needles at Christmas to people that have artificial trees so when they take their trees down they could sprinkle the pine needles all over the floor and b!tch and complain like they had just taken down a REAL tree.

Hey sconi! I read this article the other day and I was shocked!
I would freak if this was to happen to me! I am a water rat!
I love the water! I couldn't live without taking a shower even
one day! And washing my hair, hell no! I take 2 showers in
the summer and sweat like a pig! I would die! I would be in
hives all the time! It is really a sad disease this poor
woman suffers from and they can't find a cure for it! Can you
imagine having to live like this? She can barely touch her
child in case he sweats or crys? I was so upset when I read
this. I hope they find some sort of way to help her live a
more normal life soon!

Oh my goodness..I don't think I could live without water. I would hate not being able to drink or bath what about other fluids? Alot of stuff is made with water. Alot of foods, drinks, and to not be able to go swimming in the summer..lord have mercy I would hate that. I have heard on television about a girl who couldn't go out side or let her body get temperature get under 62 degrees. And some who were allergic to the sun. It is hard to have to live with problems like that. I know I wouldn't want to..She would have to do her laundry with gloves on and bath her baby that way too..

Im not really a water fan. I dont like swimming. Im not really even a fan of showering, dont worry I still do it! But I couldnt imagine being so limited. Of course, I wouldnt be able to touch my husband at during the summer - he sweats too much.
This definitely makes me feel better about my life!
