Do you think that making people feel good gives you a lift as well?

My Team Leader at my recent work in an outbound sales told me before that if you give someone a smile; you're making them feel good. And if you make others feel good about themselves; it also reflects back to you.
I don't think it always need to be that way. Expressing yourself if you'r feeling down shouldn't hinder you from doing so; as I've heard before. It makes sense for me about that. I belive it still depends on someone's demeanor. Especially me; who's always on a screensaver mode sometimes. If somebody greets me; of course you smile. But it isn't rightful to smile when somebody's putting you down for good.. and all that bad human mentality to hurt or ridicule someone just to be ahead spills to you...
Do you think it's good to smile if everyone's pressuring you down?

Well usually the person who's making others happy are sometimes the most deppressed ones. One told me that before and reminding me to keep them happy as well. For other points of view, it is sort of a good karma passing it to others in order to make the world a lot more easier to live. Others find it pathetic because they're too busy to do so (hey; I have once experienced it, too) and in general; in all of your feedback guys; it is nice to know that hope is still not lost ^_^-)

NO not at all its not good that laughing at someone or smiling face when everyone pressuring you down, whos laughing their they should think, someday they will stand their and others laugh then how they feel?
It is bad to laugh when someone just slide down at the time of walking on his/her way.
but it is good to give smile to live friendly with others & give respect to them. it definetly makes your work easy.
it is my own experience, who loves hateness or depression.

Oh absolutely, I think when we give of ourselves for others happiness it comes back to us and makes us feel good about ourselves. What goes around comes around. And if we approach somebody who's grouchy with a smile and a kind word, it quite often will brighten that person's day. I think it says a lot about a person when they can maintain a good feeling, and not get angry, when somebody else is trying to douse their happiness. I call it maintaining a state of grace, or grace while under pressure.
