Hello All, A friend asked me this question - what is my definition of having fun and surprisingly, I couldn't reply her on the spot. I kept thinking what having fun means to me. Well, my life wasn't that fun before but it wasn't dull too. I am just an average woman who loves to have friends but prefer to be around my family members rather than spending time with friends. I don't like to go out and more to a home person. I told her later for me, having fun now is whenever I can do something with my loved ones and really enjoy doing it with them. Maybe, I really didn't enjoy myself when I was younger? Please share your thoughts!

hi gr8life My opinion about have fun is when I can enjoy everything I do. for example, this day I feel happy and have fun when going to the movie theater with my friends. but on the other day, I do not enjoy it. to have fun also depends on the type of person, there are people who enjoy stay at home spend time with reading books, watching television. there are people enjoy and having fun while gather with friends or there are people feel happy and having fun when shopping. do not force yourself become another person, each person is different and unique. as long as what you do not disturb the other people, not hurt people there is not something wrong with it. Happy myLotting :)

Hello isakuiki, I agree with you. Sometimes we think that it is fun but others won't think the same. I love to watch movies too with a good companion and of course people around you play an important role too. Some are good to have fun with, but some are just plain boring. Whatever it is, you are right when you say that we don't have to force ourselves to be someone else just to fit in!

Hello peacewherever, You are right. It is easy to have fun but not all people feel the same. Some can't just feel the fun when doing something which is fun to others. I won't force myself to be some else just to fit in. I just wonder why I need time to think what is the meaning of having fun to me Maybe, since having a baby, I am having less fun for myself

I'm absolutely with you. I think you are an intelligent guy. Having fun depends time, place and what type of person you are. Actually, to have fun is pretty easy. but most often, people can't make it.

I'd say it's easier to define when you aren't doing something for fun. Such as, doing something because it's expected or to fit in. If you're doing things primarily for these reasons, you aren't doing them because it's fun.

Hello egdcltd, I agree with you on this. It is not fun if you're expected to do it. A few days ago, my 2 1/2 years old son wanted to eat ice-cream. So, I prepared one for him, one for my husband and one for me. My husband and I enjoyed eating and smudging our face with ice-cream - just like our son. Sometimes simple thing can make you feel so much fun doing it.

Simple things can be fun. Kids know this, just watch how much fun they can have with boxes. I realized several years ago that doing something because someone else says you should do it "because it's fun" doesn't automatically make it fun for you.

Hello egdcltd, I do agree with you. I don't like to do things just because others think that it is fun or cool to do so. I am always in my own sweet world

Having fun is enjoying the things that makes you happy.Doing the right thing with the right people. And it makes you to pep you up and met your energy level up.It is a great stress buster too.And there is a lot of difference between having fun and being happy too.You can spend and buy fun but you can never buy happiness. It is always within you self.

Hello balasri, I agree with you. Sometimes it is fun to others but not to us. It takes me quite a long time to answer that question because I seldom having fun, a real one. Most of the time, I will stay at home with my family and doing whatever that we like together and I consider that as fun to me. Thanks for taking time to respond.

If you are happy with what you are doing... then i think that is already having fun... our own definition of fun changes as we grow old or mature... In the past... having fun for me was going to a club and dance all night... but now that is something that i don't and won't do... now... having fun for me is going to the mall with my daughter... watch a movie with her or by myself... and eating out in our favorite restaurant... i also consider travelling as having fun... and i have yet to do that with my daughter...

Hello aseretdd, You are right and I agree with you. Age plays important role in what you can call as fun in your life. When I was younger, having fun was when I could go for shopping spree, in and out of movie theater, having a party and things like that. But now, as long as I am close to my family and do something together, that can bring just so much fun to me.

Same here! I prefer the company of my daughter and spouse. They are such fun to be around. We're always joking and laughing. And, being together makes life more fun overall. I've had friends over the years, but nothing has compared to time spent with my family.

Hello beautyqueen26, There is nothing to compare with having hubby and kid around. I prefer to stay at home with them, doing activities that we like the most. Sometimes I badly need some rest, but being alone without them is the last thing I want to do.
