eddie van halen, jeff beck, satriani, bb king, slash, stevie ray vaughn. i will check out paredes online. any jazz or blues players and, some classical but accustic.

I love Merle Travis, I've been learning Cannonball Rag the last few weeks from a DVD by his son Thom Bresh. But I like a lot of other players but my favorite is Jimmy Bryant, that man is so fast & precise, it sounds impossible the speed he plays at. Other names worthy of a mention (some you mentioned yourself) Django Reinhardt, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Brian Setzer are all great players. Of course it's a very subjective topic & we all have different musical preferences :) Regards Jay

Santana is an awesome guitarist. As is Estoban and Ricky Skaggs. I also like Chet Atkins and some of the old timers that play all kinds of stringed instruments, guitar, electric guitar, fiddle and banjo.
