I think you should try this anti-spyware/virus program which I recently stumbled, upon visiting Download.com.
It's called MalwareBytes. I just finished scanning my computer with MB and it detected 6 viruses which my current anti-virus didn't detect. What the hell!
But it was a relief because now they were deleted and I was quite surprised to see that my computer runs a bit faster now. Cool!
It got some pretty nice reviews as well - straight from the users and from the editor himself.
You can download this program @ http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
Thank me later after you finish scanning.

Many of us here have been using MalwareBytes long before you stumbled on it. So there are less people who are going to give thanks to you after running a scan using the program. This should not discourage you to post links which you think are useful. They will benefit some people because there aremany programs in cyberspace, and we do n ot know all of them.
all the best,
rosdimy

I know that, that's why MalwareBytes is one of the most downloaded programs on Download.com.
But of course, not all people that are using MB are myLot members. I don't care if they'll thank me or not, I just want to share this cool program to those who haven't used it yet.

That's a good information man! I haven't used this kind of anti-virus. I'll check it out for myself and download it. I might have some viruses in my computer, that my current anti-virus wasn't able to detect, because my computer is a bit slow.

OK, so I did the scan...146 malware, spyware, and trojans.
Didn't make my comp any faster, BUT I did get rid of all that junk.
I am pleased as it did take less time than AVG does, so thanks :))

Well here is my thanks. It is scanning as we speak. If it works well I will install it on my old computer because that one has been a bit sluggish lately and could do with a clean up.

LOL you don't have to create an account on MalwareBytes. All you gotta do is download the software, install it, then run a scan. If the program detected a virus infection, then get rid of it! As simple as that (but may take some time though - scanning may last for hours depending on the number of files you have on your PC).

I've never had trouble with viruses. But it might be because they haven't been detected.I never worry about it much. But What you got must be pretty good because it detected 6 viruses and your computer runs faster since they were deleted! It sounds really cool. I'll go on Download.com tonight. And I'll thank you later.

Aw fudge, I didn't read each of the discussions. I use a program called Panda and love it. Have used it for years. Have never seen anything get through it, however...I downloaded MalwareByte and checked. It found NUTING. However, I deleted it before I read it doesn't fight with my anti-virus. So now I can reinstall it and use it as a back-up. Harrumph.

magic on my computer because it's slow and there maybe
some virus already hidden in my pc. I already downloaded it.
Waiting for it to finish. Thanks for the info.

I might try this but the last time I tried Spyware Doctor though it worked well on one computer, it slowed then finally shut down the other computer. I think the other computer had a virus on it anyway. The other virus ripped apart the Spyware Doctor software though and messed up different parts of the program so it couldn't really open thoroughly anymore.

I've tried Spyware Doctor before. Well it detected a medium-threat spyware from my computer and I was happy about it. However, the problem with Spyware Doctor is that it's a memory hog. Totally a waste of memory and it takes ages before it'll open itself up.

Hi, Malwarebytes is awesome, I found and installed it months ago and used it to clean my computers at both home and work. Thanks for suggesting this to us. Steve
