What's the best advice you ever got?

Honestly, I think the best advice I ever got was not very well received at the time. I lady I didn't like much told me to "sh** or get off the pot" when I was in an abusive relationship. I was mad at her for years for that because it was so much easier to see myself as the powerless victim at the time. Anyway, hindsight is 20/20 and darn if she wasn't right.

its a boring one but i will have to say time is a great healer.
I split up with my ex boyfriend 3 months ago and everyone said this, at the time i thought that they was just saying it to make me feel better but now i know that they was right

Yeah, so true. Doesn't it seem like it's always the simplest, most commonsense ideas that are the hardest to see?
