Even though every one can lie but I do question why lie in the first place? For starters if you lie, you are not being honest with the most important person which is yourself. Then a lie can hurt some one. Then if you lie and the other person finds out that you are lying, then you lose the trust of the other person. When you lie, then you will have always on the back of your mind, will the other person find out. Lying is not good for your health. It is not good for any relationship regardless of what type of relationship that you have with a person, whether it be a friend, partner, or family member. I have been recently caught out where a lady either lied to her partner or me. The lady and I were having a conversation which was very open. I asked her if she was comfortable with the topic of conversation. She said she was. Later she went to her partner and told him that she wasn't comfortable with the topic of conversation. So the question is, who was she telling the truth to. Was it me or was it her partner? If the lady was telling me the truth, then why did she lie to her partner? Or if she was letting the truth to her partner, then why did she lie to me when she had the opportunity to tell me the truth? These questions can be only answered by her. She knows why she lied to someone. The end result was some one was hurt. If she was lying to me, then I would not have known the truth. If I had known the truth, then I could have adjusted my ways so that I could make sure she was comfortable with what I was saying, or even avoided the topic of conversation that made her feel uncomfortable. Then if she was telling me the truth, and lying to her partner, her partner would not know the true woman she is. She is showing him a fake side to her. So why lie and feel guiltly after. Wouldn't it be better to tell the truth and gain trust in others?
