if you see somebody wounded, what is the first step you need to do?

some years ago, i was standing in the front of one store waiting for a taxi, i saw two kids running,one was chasing the other when suddenly the second kid fall. the road is rough and there were some small stones where the kid exactly fall, i thought there's nothing serious but when the kid raised up his head i saw his blooded face,no one could be able to move because everybody were shocked upon seeing the kid whose forehead was the one bumped on a stone.i was the one who picked up the kid,i really didn't know what to do, i called for a help to call the parents,i know there must be a first step to do on that kind of situation but i don't know anything... now when that incident could be happen again, i already know what to do, because i am already learned.
