Have you ever been "written-up" at work?

Well - have you ever been written up at work before?
And was it for something you deserved?
How easy is it to get written up where you work?
And how many write-ups do you get before you get fired?
I'm just curious to know. The company I work for has recently made their "rules" a lot stricter, and now pretty much anyone's getting written up for any little mundane mistake. Luckily, not me, but it's only because I've been pretty careful about what I do right & wrong. I just find it kind of ridiculous, as I always thought write-ups were reserved for doing (bad) things like skipping days and not following the dress code.
Anyone care to share their insights?

Well, I can honestly say as far as I know I have never been written up at the job I am with now. I did work one place that for some reason they did not really even want to give me a chance. I was Wrote up one time, and they decided that I did not want to work there anymore, and even when they only suspended me for 3 days, they never let me come back to work. Actually that is the HORROR Story for me of places I worked, but glad where I am at now, I have no real issues with for sure.

The worst write-up I got at work was from our executive director demoting me to a probationary status. His memo and decision however has lots of loopholes bordering to harassment, ignorance of the company's field operation practices and our country's labor law. I countered back saying that I am ready to bring the issue to labor arbiter if he will not recant his memo back. I'm glad we did not have to go to court to settle the issue.

I have only been written up at work one time and that was for being late a few days over a couple week period of time. I kind of expected it because my boss had talked to me before. They were starting to get strict with certain policies and when my boss said she had to "talk to me" I knew what it was about. I just took it for what it was worth, a slap on the wrist, signed my little form and went back to work. Overall, I do my job well, and have never had any other issues.
