hi all! as i have written earlier we have a power interruption here. actually, i am using the internet because God bless my in-laws, they have a generator set. however, it could not carry the aircon because it takes too much energy. and it has to be sacrificed between the refrigerator and freezer because of the food stored there, as well as the breastmilk that i have so tediously and gingerly pumped and collected. but the baby would not rest. she kept on crying and crying. she was moist all over because of sweat. and even if we carried her, we too are sweating and the exchange of body heat is too much for her. even if we put her crib in an airy area, still she would not relax. not until we went to mcdonalds, which was near our place. we wanted to order sundae, but it was not available. while they were also on generator and saving up on energy, at least the place was cooler. But after about 30 minutes, their genset bogged down. and then we were forced to go to another place, a mall, which was about 15 minutes away. when we got there, the place was also packed! it seems that everybody had the same idea, to go to the mall for airconditioning. we went into a coffee that was not crowded and there we were able to rest. our baby is only 6 weeks old. oh how i prayed to God for protection as we brought her to these public places. but this is the only way that she relaxed and slept. when we went home, we were still on gen set and so we were only allwowed to use the electric fan. but she slept soundly because she had already cooled off. it has been almost 8 hours already and still no sign of the electricity coming back. have you experienced bringing your baby anywhere and everywhere just so to avoid the heat and so that she would sleep? please share your expeirences. take care all and God bless you! happy mylotting! :D

Hi Spoiled. How are things now I hope that everything is all right and back to normal. I have to say where I have lived the only time the power's gone out is usually when when it storms really bad. But I have to say that if my power grid is out my grams is up so we run up there. LOL!! Or if we have the ability to go swimming we do so. I have always found that has helped to cool us down when it's way entirely to hot.

Hello spoiled311, So far, I have yet to face this problem. All this while, it is not that hard for us. I can't remember when was the last time we had a power interruption here. I am glad that we don't have to face that. But recently, it is just too hot for us. We feel thirst all the times and always try to be in a cooler place. Because of that, I don' t like to go out with my family. My husband and son can't stand the heat and I, myself can't stand the cold.
