Do you see yourself getting married? I know of friends who have been in long-term relationships. I find it absurd when they feel awkward each time friends ask them when are they getting married. If you're of age, why commit and stay in a relationship for years if you can't see yourself marrying the person you're with? Spending years in a relationship is no joke.

I think it is pretty much the same in my country, the Philippines. We were taught about the sanctity of marriage. We do not have divorce because our laws do not allow it, but we do have annulment, which I think is not any different to divorce. It gets me confused.

I couldn't see myself getting married in the near future. I'm of age but I'm still taking my time. I'm not in a hurry to get hitched. Reason: because if it happens, it will happen. I wouldn't force myself to marry when it's not meant to happen just yet. I'll wait for the proper time.

That's true. What's keeping them from getting married? Maybe they're not sure of themselves. Their feelings most especially. I mean come on, what are they waiting to happen, that a girlfriend of 5 years or so would cheat? lol! If they're married, he could at least sue her. lol! Well, spending in a relationship is no joke i agree but getting married is no joke either. It'll be one big joke to settle down only to realize that you've made a mistake. I'd take that long relationship gone wrong than a marriage riddled with crap. Regardless, i still see myself married by hook or by crook. Being alone (...and lonely) in this world is the biggest joke. Personal opinion!
