What is the best TV and LCD or plasma?

This morning I was watching some TV and all of a sudden the TV went off, it made a really unpleasnt smell and now it dosen't turn on at all. So I need to buy a new TV, what are the best, since I want now a really good TV...any opinions..........

Good day, GAUCI123. Well, maybe the fuse inside your television had blown up or some parts got burned. You may bring it first to a technician if you want to save money. If you want to buy new, I recommend you to buy an LCD tv rather than plasma because it can consumes less electricity so, you can save. Also, LCD television emits less radiation. While plasma tv's consume more electricity than LCD. In addition, plasma tv's heat up easily so I don't recommend it to others. I hope that this might help you decide whether you go for a repair or to buy a new one. Happy mylotting..=)
