It has been a long time since I started working. I have seen many ups and down in working. There can be long working hours continously that can hamper your work life balance. How do you manage it and ensure that both are equally driven. There are pressure in work life as well personal life which can tend a person to break down. What are your views on it.

Yeah I know how you feel. It's pretty stressful! But what I do, is I set up a personal schedule or have my own agenda planned for myself for the day. Sometimes things could change during an occurring event. So sometimes plans can fail. After work I go home, listening to soothing music to unwind then I either cook a home cooked meal and wait for the man to come home or I have some me time like an at home spa kind of thing just to lift off the work blues. When I have no time to do all of that since I'm completely exhausted, then I sleep. But my personal life? When I'm not at all busy, my spouse and I would just talk and plan stuff for a little for some fun free time where we'd just take random trips anywhere in the city and just hang for a day or we'd go on an actual vacation just to get away. When it comes to friends, I tend to plan ahead for weekend stuff like going places just to have some fun on my day offs. Thank goodness for day offs. I'm not a workaholic since I have a life I want to live so I just like to treat myself to something nice in the end.

Yes definately planning is something we all do, but things fell apart when there is 12 hour of working continously for 2 weeks. Anyways thanks for your suggestion

I like keeping balance of my life, I cannot say I hate work, but I hate bringing work home. I always strive for finishing all my work during working time, so as not to work overtime. Even though I cannot finish work before the closing time, I'll work overtime in the office but not at home. I think I can only rest at home but not work. I'm just keeping balance like this.

Yes I too agree with you , we should keep work to office itself and enjoy our life fully. Thanks for your response.

I have been through a hard work ship and managing personal life side by side , but I have always learnt that one thing that spoils everything is the stress factor. If we learn to manage stress we can achieve a balance between , I know it is easy to say but give it a try its not that difficult .Always try to seperate both entities life and work .Dont bring work pressures into home and personal problems into office .I guess that helps.
