How to get more respondents in the discussions here??

There's no secret, but it can sometimes just be luck. The first thing to do is have a catchy first sentence. That's usually all anyone will read when they're looking through discussion topics. And try to come up with an idea that's not so popular. For instance, instead of asking "what do you like to read?", you could be more specific and ask "what type books do you read most: mysteries, romances or thrillers?" Instead of asking "do you like school", you could ask "what is your favorite class", "what class do you hate most", or "did you ever fail a class and why". And don't sit around and wait for responses. Keep responding to other discussions and start a new one. With practice, you'll discover how to phrase your discussions. After all, you can only learn to doing.

There really isn't any secret. Its basically just making a catchy enough title as well as a first sentence so that people are drawn in to look at what you've written. Also - I tend to shy away from the posts that is just one large hump of a paragraph because they are larger to read and I would rather it be separate. Also, I won't respond to someone if their grammar or spelling is completely off track. Now do realize as well, the more friends you have the more possibilities of friends responding because they see your discussion in their list on the front page. Now don't just go off and start adding people for this, because normally its the people that were interested in what you said that will friend you because of what you said, not because they want more respondents.

I don't think there is a "secret" to it. Just try to make your discussion interesting and from a personal stand point not extremely long. I think luck plays a bit in the fact too. It just depends on who is mylotting at the time and what their interests are. I usually check the Today's Top and then I go to discussions my friends started. So a lot of friends is helpful too. All are good tips but I would also like to add that instead of just responding to a topic read and comment on some of the things that others have said. Depending on your response this will prompt them to view your profile where they will find a list of your discussions and respond to which one catches their attention. this is also another way to get more friends.

As many have already said, there is no secret and it's pot luck!! Time of day has a huge sway on this, also if you write from the heart and keep it to the point & don't rant (Like me) you'll get responses. Also choose your catorgory carefully, make sure it fits in with what your talking about and choose a popular one. The most important thing is to have fun Mrsl x

Hi Rubypalmes. I agree with Fasttalker. I always goes to Today's Top and the discussion my friends started. And i will check in the interst if there any topic that i am interesting in. The other thing is very important too. That is you should try to respond other's topic as much as possible, they will reply yours in return. That will help too. Good luck and happy mylotting!
