O.K. most everyone likes ice cream. What flavor is your favorite? Do you prefer it in a cone or dish or a big bowl? - HA - . Do you add toppings or keep it plain? Do you like to mix different flavors at one time or keep only one flavor at a time?I love vanilla with strawberry coming in a very close second. Coffee is also very good as is chocolate. How can I forget butter pecan - YUMM. Wow, I thought I had a favorite flavor myself but I guess I like them all. Sometimes I like to mix different flavors too.

mocka, hazelnut, Nescafe` , and pistachios
and for the topping
liquid chocolate, crushed peanuts , and crushed nuts
i know i`m crazy, but i like it soooo much.....

Giant and Big, that's always a very good start. Your combination really sounds terrific and no, you're are not crazy. Crazy is when you keep a container of ice cream in your freezer so long that it grows mold - now THAT'S crazy!!!

Saviour-V teleports in....
My favourite flavour's chocolate chip mint. And I don't normally care about whether it's in a cone or not.
And no toppings, please - I consider that sacrilege against my favourite flavour.
There's a recipe for an ice-cream pie with that flavour - pity that no one here in Malaysia makes these on a commercial basis. Would've been really nice.
Saviour-V grins, and teleports out...

I can, at times, appreiciate no toppings also. I sometimes want to enjoy the flavor without anything mixed up in it.

Hmmmmm. Good question. I'm sitting here thinking about what my favorite would be, and I can't decide. Maybe the best way would be to sit down with a BIG bowl that has many different scoops in it, and as I tried them all I could make up my mind. That sounds like a good excuse, right? catdla1, I love the way you think. Fill up a BIIIIIG bowl and go to town. That's a wonderful excuse. I too am grinning because it almost sounds like we're related in the way we would deal with the situation.

I like double dutch and rocky road. I am like something with nuts in it.
I rarely put any toppings on them unless it is vanilla where I like it with chocolate syrup and nuts again. I want to have one flavor at a time. I don't want to mix different flavors as my palette will be confused! I also like cheese and purple yam flavor. This topic is making me drool.

Cheese and purple yam? Never heard of it.
I think I know what you mean about this topic - it's about 3 years old and it still makes me drool too.

I love ice cream!
In my country, there are a variety of fruit flavored ice cream being made.
We got lots of fruit here. Purple yam or ube as it is popularly known here are violet colored ice cream. Cheese is an all time favorite of mine.
There are also those who makes vegetable flavored ice cream although I haven't tasted one yet.

I like all types of ice cream flavors except for durian. It has the most bad taste for me. My favorite flavor is chocolate. I don't like to eat ice cream in cones because I'm kinda messy so I only eat it in a glass or cups.

I have never heard of durian. I wonder if I've tried it once at a Buffet. There was an ice cream that had a very wierd taste. I couldn't read the label and I didn't ask what it was.
How would you describe durian?

i love eating ice cream! nothing like a nice cone on a hot sunny day at the park but if im in a cooling place like the mall or at home or out at a friend's place i prefer them in a cup because i like taking my time to eat ice cream, and i certainly do not want it melting in my hands.
i love chocolate chip cookie dough! i think its the best flavor alive!!! oh and i love it with Hershey's chocolate sauce that is still warm. just the blend of the cold ice cream and hot chocolate sauce is enough to tickle my taste buds! and the more sprinkles you add the better! the taste just gets sweeter and sweeter you can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookie though its the best!

Take your time with ice cream. Don't ever rush a good thing. Now that's 'food' for thought. Warm sauce is REEEEEALY scrumptious.
berrys, you've ticled my taste buds too.
Thanks for sharing!!!

Pistachio is very good. I know what you mean about vanilla. Start with the basic and add to it. It compliments any flavor especially when you use real vanilla with vanilla beans.

I love to eat ice-cream in a cone, I don't know why mabye because it looks bigger that way? Anyways, I always prefer if an ice-cream in a cone with two different types of flavours, like chocolate and coffee, or if I have a feeling that the same flavour won't last very long, I take in two scoops of the same flavour, which is mostly chocolate, that's my ideal cone,

A double scoop of chocolate in a cone. Take the phone off the hook and don't answer the knock at the door, I'm WAY too busy with EXTREMELY important things to do. Everything else will just have to wait.
Happy myLotting!!!

Hello betlynfrnds , my all time favorite flavor if ice cream is peppermint with a close second of mountain huckleberry ice cream. When I have peppermint I like to add a scoop of chocolate fudge to complment the flavor. When I have mountain huckleberry I might add a drop of chocolate shell on top of the ice cream. I might have to have some ice cream soon.

Believe it or not, ds6413, I don't have any ice cream in the house. But after reading the GREAT responses in this discussion, I'm about ready to run to the local store and clear out the freezer case. It almost sounds like you should open up your own ice cream shop. Your ideas are very gourmet sounding.

hi betlynfrnds! I like them all, myself, but I guess vanilla would have to be my favorite. I like it plain most of the time and I just keep one flavor at a time. I eat low fat sherbet at home and I like the rainbow flavor the best.
I used to like to eat at the Dairy Queen occasionally but the one here in Jasper went out of business. I really miss it, too, because I liked all of their desserts.
I also like McDonald's ice cream. It's considered low fat. I usually get it in a cone here but at home I eat it out of a dish or a cup. Kathy.

Hello there,
I had forgotten that I made this post a couple of years ago. I just got a response 3 days ago and I must have missed your response. Sorry about that.
Anyway, yes, I like what you like as well. Once in a while I like to jazz things up and go crazy, but for the most part, plain vanilla, strawberry or chocolate suits me just fine.

I like ice cream in any way shape or form. I mostly eat it in a bowl but I do love waffle cones or the cones that have the chocolate coating on the inside. A strawberry/banana blizzard from Dairy Queen, yummy. I have taken a butterfinger bar and smashed it to pieces and then put it on vanilla ice cream. Mix it in and you got something wonderful!
Happy ice cream eating.

I love your ingenuity - smashing a butterfinger to pieces. I too love waffle cones, and aren't Dairy Queen blizzards wonderful? I work with my boyfriend who owns a couple of businesses. I like the work and spending quality time with him. One of the cool perks of work are the "treats" that come with it. Last week I had a Snickers blizzard from DQ. That was fun. That was happy ice cream eating.

I like cones, but I rather have my icecream in a cup. My favorite two flavors, which I usually always get together is mint n' chip and oreo cookie. I usually get these at Baskin Robbins. I also will go to my local ice cream yogurt shop and get either a chocolate, vanilla mix or whatever fruity flavors they have like pomagranate or raspberry and top it with strawberries, blueberries, almonds, granola and chocolate chips. They are both yummy.

That all sounds great tcycharmy. I don't believe I've every tried pomagranate, but I'm sure it's amazing. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I'm at a shop.
By the way, the dog's picture is absolutely beautiful. Is he/she yours? What's his/her name?

Strawberry and coffee, hmmm, that does sound interesting. I would hold off on the toppings with your flavors of choice also.
