Never take advice from a boyfriend about your period. You can get pregnant anytime. Some times of the month will be easier for you, and other times will be hard. It depends on your ovulation. You can buy tests that tell you when you are ovulating and when the best time to have a baby is. I think you can get them where you buy pregnancy tests. I think that would be much more accurate than your boyfriend, lol.

The average cycle is 28 days and a lady is most likely to get pregnant 14 days before her next period. So mid cycle is the time most ladies get pregnant. It is unlikely a lady would get pregnant during her period. So for a 28 day cycle: Days 1 to 5 the lady has her period and getting pregnant wouldn't be possible Days 10 to 16 the lady could get pregnant, two days would be her peak time.

I hate to say it I don't think he really has any true knowledge of it. Everyones cycle is different!!!! Ovulation typically occurs on average at day 14 (when you can get pregnant), and if we remember math class how they calculate averages based on a set number of womens experiences over a certain amout of observation. But for me it was day 11-12 on a 26-32 day cycle. But there's never a guarantee as it can change at any point in your life time from one cycle to the next. When I was TTC #2 my ob said try day 8-18 to catch when I would ovulate. So again I think your BF may think everyones body goes by the text book but it doesn't. If you are not ready for a child ALWAYS use some form of protection, no matter where you are in your cycle. Hope that helps!
