unlimitted plans limitted

hey!! I recently heard that many service providers are limiting the maximum download of all the unlimited plans to a few GBs....is that true? What is the reason for it?
Which all ISPs have already implemented it?

I haven't come to any such news. I have been using AirTel Broadband Rs.799 Unlimited plan and it has no such limits as now as discussed above, neither has my ISP intimated me anything as such.
However, if the news is correct, then it would be a big setback for me, as I use my internet heavily for downloading movies and big softwares with torrents!!

anyway I think the news is true..But Its applicable from the next week..For Airtel I heard that after crossing the download limit .The speed will get reduced to half..Donno the details!!
