In the Summer and Autumn months a friend of mine and I enjoy going on long hikes through the woods around this area. Everytime we hike me always make jokes that we would love to find a hidden treasure.... I recently found geocaching! Teams of hikers, search for treasure (barried by other teams) through the woods using handheld GPS devices!! You hide one....you find one! It sounds awesome and I know I will be checking it out this summer!!

While you are hiking in the woods you bury a cashe (a capsul with something inside. You can leave whatever you want). And then u can use a handheld GPS system to search for a cashe that someone else has burried!! It's great!

I have a co-worker who does this a lot and seems to enjoy it. I have thought about doing it,but never have. I would like to go sometime and see if I would enjoy it or not. How do you get started into doing geocaching?

I'm into geocaching and I love it! I found out about it last summer through a friend. I haven't found all that many though. At the moment I've only found six caches around my area. Someone posted in my topic about geocaching saying they started caching after I did and they have so many more finds than I do. But the thing is that I don't get to do it that often though.
