So i usually never ask for help on my homework but i'm stumped on this one! I really would like help. Here it is:
The object of this puzzle is the use the numbers 1,2,3 and 4 to express the numbers from 0-20. You can use addition,subtraction,multiplication,division, square roots or anything. You cannot repeat numbers and you must use all 4 numbers in your expression.
Now i only need to get it to total 8,16,17,18,19 and 20.
Thanks!

Good day, x3jaimee. Since the four are already answered. I solved for the rest:
8= 4+3+2-1 and
16= 4(3+2-1)
was that a homework for grade school? Happy mylotting..=)

Well I can give you 17, 18, 19, and 20.... [(4+1)x3]+2=17
(4+2)x3x1=18
[(4+2)x3]+1=19
[(3x1)+2]x4=20
By the way... what grade are you in and what kind of math is this for?
