Will you also consider the music when you watch anime?

May be you don't understand the language but will you listen to the opening theme and ending theme of an anime or simply skip them? Have you ever feel uncomfortable because the theme does not match the story? I do especially with the opening themes. As opening themes prepare people to start the anime, when they lead people in the wrong mood, people cannot the anime as much. And an enchanting song and music is always something to remember with even when the anime has been finihsed.

Yea. I will listen to the OP and ED at least once. If it's nice, I'll go find the song. If it's not nice, I'll definitely skip it. Most of the time, anime series I am following have nice OP and ED so I hardly have to skip them. My favorite OP of all time is from Fruits Basket. My favorite ED is from Gintama. It's called Shura.

I definitely consider the anime songs when watching an anime. If I like the song, I usually download it. I also look for the lyrics and the English translation of the song. Rurounin Kenshin anime has a pretty good collection of anime songs.

Considering the opening and ending music of the anime, depends how much your love and "craveness" to watch... Some openings would match (overview) for the whole season, like naruto, bleach, etc.. Though theres nothing we can do to omit the openings unless we manually remove it. Just simply enjoy and love the openings of anime we loved to watch...

As my view, the music is also very important for anime. Althought you cannot understand the lauguage, but you still can feel something about anime from the medoly, the singer's memtion, etc. Both the opening theme and ending theme are the inspissation of the anime, we can know about the anime more or less from them. I agree with your point of opening themes, but sometime the ending also very good. Here I recommend some to you: Glaring Dream is the ending theme of anime Gravitation, ignore of its topic was homosexuallove the whole song let you listen very comfortable; Wild at Heart is the ending theme of GPX SAGA, with singer's surging passion deduction we can feel which kind of mention is hold by the character in this anime. And there are too many examples, so it is impossible for me list all of them, just a bit.

If I don't like the songs, I'm probably gonna have a hard time sticking with the anime...no matter how much I like it. Take the music of Bubblegum Crisis, for example. It's just a bit abrasive and obnoxious (the end credits song was OK I suppose), but it wasn't the kind of dreadful that drove me away -- almost, but I ended up watching the series to the end, and it remains an anime I like. The music though, helps set the mood for the story. If the music sucks, it'll be hard getting the feel for the story, and it decreases the enjoyment of it.

I only listening to the opening and closing themes of animes when it's the first episode. I don't watch them over and over again because I prefer to save time to watch more episodes. If you're into anime music, then I think Nodame Contabile is a good choice - it features classics within the episodes itself. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I don't skip the OPs and EDs when I watch anime. For me, music plays a big role in setting up the atmosphere of a certain series. I really don't feel comfortable if the theme song don't match the story, as long as the BGM is there to establish mood.
