I also have cut back-can't stand paying those outrages prices. It takes a little get used to dressing warmer in the winter while in the house. I can't stand the closed up feeling in the summer running the ac. so we spend more time outside.

There are lots of clothes that are comfortable and loose yet warm to be doing things at home in winter. AS for summer, it´s SO wonderful to be outdoors! And you can work at your veggie garden then and save some more

I have been living just barely comfortable in the seasons as well. We adjusted just fine to it but dressing for it. I have bought the energy saver light bulbs and we have turned out the lights for years. We are planning on dusting the back of the fridge, which I have heard helps more then we think. I do dry the occasional thing of clothes on the rack. I have been stingy with our utilities for years now and Id like to cut back more but where? Im hoping to find a few other things to cut back a bit and save me a little more.

I have done the same as you. We also do not use a drier but hang our clothing to dry either in the house or on the line outside. I am thinking about turning off the hotwater heater except for when we take showers. I can heat the water for dishes up on the stove. We also turn the shower off while we suds up. During the day hours we utilize the natural light through the windows.

I do the same with the dryer. I also turn off the hotwater but you are ahead of me in turning off the shower while using the soap. I need the warm water for my back

Our forefathers used warmer clothes in winter and took them off in summer. It´s just a matter of not forgetting the good things about the past.

I am out of option in reducing my electricity bills. I have tried every other possible way in saving electricity and stop wastage like turned off unnecessary lights, use low wattage bulbs, cut down TV time, lower my freezer temp. and all sorts of other methods. Unfortunately, all these don't help much in lowering my bills because the greedy electric power dealer is raising the rate per KWH trying to beat their accounting book's recession.

I have tried to cut costs in my bill however the provincal govt just gave the electric company permission to up the rates yet again. So even though my usage has goen down my stinky bill has gone UP. It just made me so mad because I'm making an effort to use less and save money and i feel rather ripped off.

I know what you mean. It seems that all over the world we, the people, do the efforts and others get the money
