Are you okay with the issue of illegal immigrants?

I live in the UK, and we have illegals as most countries do. My personal opinion is that once an illegal is found then they should be deported immediately. If I was going to emigrate to say the USA or OZ I would follow the precedures in place to get a visa etc etc the illegals dont care about following rules and if they are so desperate to move in times of war etc etc then there are procedures to follow if they cant even follow a procedure what right do they have to come over. Also if they are coming across due to war they should then be sent back to their country of origin once the situation changes. Prob not going to be popular here but in this day and age of security and terrorism who knows who is crossing the borders and for what reason. Not to mention the jobs etc etc and housing, here in UK where I live there are immigrant housing schemes so as soon as an immigrant comes over they get a house ?? theres thousands of homeless people on the streets that dont even qualify for a house now that just makes no sense to me.

I know this will be a less than happy answer to most,but I firmly believe that there would be far less hatred and violance in North America if ALL immigrants(in the last 10 to 20 years) would stay in their own countries. If a person or family wishes to come to North America,leave your home customs and beliefs there. if you wish to keep your religious beliefs,fine,but we should not have to change our ways of life to make you happy. If you wear a turban as a religious head piece,fine,but stay out of our clubs or other places were our customs are to remove head gear. You are leaving your country to start a new life in a country with far different customs,so you should be ready to except ours and leave yours at home. I am sorry if you disagree,this is my opinion only,thank you.

My country have quota for legal immigrants to work and it was full. Now there soo many illegal immigrants here in my country and they have nothing to do. They broke our low, they do illegal thing, they become thief and robbers. The worst thing is they kidnapped children and sold them to other countries. They are also cannot be trusted. there are many thing happened cause by this illegal immigrants.

Well, the illegal immigrants should work out their papers to be legal because it is unfair to others who are paying a lot to become legal.what I can say also is that... those illegals who are now working and some of them even paying their IRS.. government should advice them of what to do in order to become legal. I am an immigrant but I am spending money to work out my papers. I am not working, but still I process my papers so that I can't violate the immigration law.

As a legal immigrant, if they decide to offer carte blanche to illegal ones, I want a refund of the several thousand dollars it cost me to move here.

I personally believe that the reason they are a lot of illegal immigrants is because of the way the immigration system is run. If they made it easier for innocent people to immigrate then people would not be as desperate as they are to fulfil their dreams in America or Europe. I know that for certain nationalities regardeless of whether the person has money or not to immigrate to the states its just virtually impossible so people are tempted to do the illegal thing because the legal way is not helping them at all. Most immigrants are hard workers and willing to do anything to have that taste of the good life. But they are denied that opportunity so they take the law into their own hands.. I say the easier they make it then the less illegal immigrants they will be...

Please excuse me Clorissa for having a different opinion than you do about this matter. Illegal immigrants do work, but they take away jobs from American citizens. Americans could be feeding their families by doing the jobs that the illegal people are doing. Illegal immigrants polute our cities, help destroy our roads by driving on them,provide their medical care, we have to educate their children at a great expense, and we often have to give them food stamps to help feed them. No, I think that all illegal people should be sent back to where they came from. We do not need them here.

It is wise for people to stay in their home countries rather than become illegal immigrants in the USA. I imagine they travel up through Central America and then go up into the USA from Mexico. They can go across land or sea but they all risk getting caught. I come from Europe and have visited the USA three times. The immigration officers try to find out if any travelers are intending to work illegally. I know foreigners need a green card to work in the states so illegal immigrants must work illegally. I think many of them are hardworking people that should be given the chance to stay. In Europe we have illegal immigrants making for my home country and other European countries. There are boats that come from West Africa to the Canary Islands, owned by Spain. A more popular route is from North Africa to Italy but some are caught and taken to Malta. Some men were in a boat that sank and they got on the back of a tuna catching operation that went to Italy. The Italian government let the men stay for one year to see if they could get a decent life. They found unemployment was a problem and a few of them were more successful than the others.

As myself as a immigrant just like others(But I am asian and I am also a US citizen), I think they should have the right to stay in the State. The reason I said that cuz they are already in the US and they have been working for American for so long, so why can't US government can't do anything about it? they have been provide services(cheap services) to everyone and it is still now enough? I am sure US Government will find solution to this matter and I am strongly support them.

As long as they pay taxes the same as every other american I welcome them. Rather than them have to work illegaly we should just make it easier for them to become legal.

As for me, I do not like that we have so many illegal immigrants coming into our country, but there's really not to much that can be done about it. The Governments not going to do anything about it because the Hispanics are a huge amount of the population that they depend on at election time. As far as immigrants that come into this country legally that's a totally different story. I fill like they deserve to be here like anyone else. The one thing that I don't like about illegal immigrants is that they come over here and send what money that they make back to the country that they come from instead of supporting the place that their at now. But I know there are always two sides to everything, if I was living in some of the places that some of these people have come from, I would probably be trying to come over here also. In stead of trying to stop illegal immigration maybe the Government needs communicate with the other countries leaders and find out what can be done to make that country a better place to live. Then maybe so many people wouldn't want to leave.
