I have been a gamer my whole life. It started with the NES in 1988 and has been a big thing in my life for my entire memory. however, in the last few months I haven't even touched a single video game. Everytime I try to play a video game I have no interest. No matter what the game is. This is very strange to me since I have been gaming since I was about four years old. So twenty years later and I am at a loss. All of a sudden I just don't want to play them anymore. Has anyone else experienced this, or have an insight into why this is happening?

OW.. man! Is that really happened to you?? You will be in disaster of psychology coz of you dont wanna play the games anymore... hehehe... I hope it wont happened in my life. But, I have a simple thing that you should do. Please update your game console and game genre... Do you play Xbox360? just try PS3 or PC gaming. Do you like play FPS??? try RPG and Puzzle. Im bored now. I just dont get into my mood of playing game, coz why?? I cant play it anymore. I just play Call Of Duty, Football Manager 2009 and Counter Strike. But i think, i must change my type of game (hard 4 me to change console. LOL) Have a nice time to play your game console. In new ways

I have a Wii. Xbox is boring, Wii is boring, PS3 is boring. Im mainly a PC gamer. RPG and FPS are what I usually play. Boring. Strategy. Boring. Maybe Diablo 3 will bring me out of it.

I can't say I'm a gaming addict, but I have to admit that I like to play games (mostly FPS). My first gaming experience was with Duke Nukem 3D and Doom 2. I remember how I used to play the games for fun, but today it seems like everything is competition. People don't play it for fun anymore, they just want to be first and nothing stops them to win, not even cheats that ruin everybody's game. I can't say I lose my interest in playing games because of the punks that ruin my game, but I lose it because the games aren't fun as they used to be. Today gaming industry is good for marketing purposes, they don't even make games that will make gamers like them, they make them just to force gamers to buy new hardware, etc. (you guys have probably seen "Best played on NVidia" or "Runs best on Intel i7", or something else). Gaming is just marketing as I've said. Nothing more. For example, Prehistorik is 17 years old game, but it is fun and addicting and I still have it on my PC! Then Re-Volt, game is almost 10 years old, but the graphics is still good and you don't need 2, 4, 8 cores to play it... Happy mylotting and take care!

I have been kind of feeling that way. Some games are fun for awhile and then I totally lose interest in them and never play them again.

i was in the same boat(so to speak) and i found playing short little flash games helped and also its much funner if yu can find a easy one like tetris freinds because of the constant compitition or easy single player also *the play factor* like the armor points in armor games also take regular breaks, sometimes playing for hours doesnt make it boring, from playing and if you get bored just play a differnt genre of game. also try to find what made the game boring also set goals and make them really high but not impossible because you will feel like you beat it and nothing will really matter.most of this was for mmorpg's but some games you just cant play for hours like mortal combat, also try to find a game with achivements because it adds just a little more spice to the game, also dont play the same game for 8 hours, have a few games in your collection. For Fps's no matter how many people you have beatin at halo or COD4 unless you are at the top of the leaderboards you are'nt that good and keep practicing. halo and COD4 are name drops all fps's count for puzzles if you cant figure it out.... online strategy guide sports....practice just simple and just remeber to set you goals The Bishop

well i have always loved video games. They have been my source of relaxation for years and i dont really plan on stopping. I have, however, been losing my interest due to the fact that i lack the funds to buy a 65 dollar video game. When the fun i have playing the game is disrupted by the thought that i dont have any more money i just dont really want to buy one. My only option now is to search through the 20$ or less bin to find a game that i can afford. That kinda makes me angry

I'm the opposite of you. In my whole life, I ahve never came to apperciate playing video games. I don't know why when all of my friends or my family were into video games. I didn't even watch them play because I easily get bored with it.
